Donnie grabbed his fallen bo-staff and ran into the overrun lab, smacking Kraang off his desk. An empty test tube shattered on the floor and Donnie growled, jabbing the culprit in the eye. The Kraang yelped and scuttled off into the main part of the lair, the other five following.
Donnie locked up the room and looked out to see his brothers fighting off the Kraang. He leapt into the fray, knocking one off of Mikey's shell.
The Kraang paused before one pulled a triangle portal materializer out of thin air and pressing the button. It flew up and created a purple portal. The Kraang filed through.
The Turtles exchanged a glance. Well, the older ones did. Mikey dove through the portal to follow the Kraang.
"Miley!" They called in unison, running after him before the portal dissipated.
They were brought into an all too familiar hallway with portals lining the invisible walkway.
Leo sighed and looked at Mikey. "You can't just run off like that little dude."
Mikey tilted his head. "Well why not?"
"You could get hurt."
"Aww you care about me!" Mikey hugged Leo abruptly. Leo stumbled to the side a bit before straightening himself. He sighed and smiled a bit, setting a hand on Mikey's shell. "Of course I do Mikey."
Donnie had walked a little ways down and frowned at a new development at the universal crossroads. He looked at his brothers before turning onto the alternative walkway.
"Don where are you going?" Raph called.
"Uh..." Donnie looked at the line of differently shaped portals. "I dunno." He gave a weak shrug.
Raph came over and peered down the hallway. "Whoa..."
Donnie started down the hallway, clasping his hands behind his back and looking into different portals.
There was one in which two boys were in a dark shop of mirrors, with a black car parked outside. Donnie assumed the portal was one of the mirrors. There was another one with a pair of what looked like twins, looking at a journal with a number 3 on it.
He paused when he came to one. On the other side were two girls, one who looked alarmingly like Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy when they had come to this world.
He glanced at his brothers who were looking curiously at a portal with a child and a skeleton fighting. He looked back at the portal he was in before stepping through.
"Do-" He heard but the noise was cut off as he flew through the empty tunnel between the universes. It seemed to take longer than the other ones.
He yelped as he flew out the other end of the portal and landed on his back.
The Rainbow Dash parallel jumped back, and the Fluttershy hid behind RD. Donnie sat up and let out a small squeak when he saw his body.
He had become human! His mask fell around his neck and brown bangs hung in his eyes. He had on a dark green jacket that was ripped into a tank top, wraps around his wrists, a black shirt and a pair of beige pants that tucked into black boots. A brown strap was around his torso that held his weapon to his back.
He stood up. It was easier to get used to functioning it than when he was a pony, as everything was the same, just different proportions.
"Who the heck are you?!" Rainbow yelled.
He held up his hand. "Calm down, there's a perfectly reasonable explanation for this."
A girl with hair that looked like fire and a girl in a similar outfit to Twilight Sparkle ran out to their friends.
"What's going on?" The fire girl asked.
"This stranger just fell through the portal!" Rainbow cried, sounding outraged.
"Wait." She circled Donnie curiously. "You're Donatello right?"
"Uh..." Donnie felt a bit uncomfortable. "Yeah...?"
She clapped her hands. "Twilight told me about you! She was so excited when she was writing!"
"What do you mean?" Donnie tilted his head, confused.
"I'm Sunset Shimmer. I have a book like yours." She held it up. It had the same symbol as the one on her skirt.
Donnie blinked and pulled his shell marked book out of his jacket.
"It's so good to meet you!" She held her hand out and Donnie shook it, smiling a bit.
