Mikey, having taken a piece of chalk from an empty classroom, sat outside the portal, drawing on the concrete. Contrary to popular belief, he often had plans to help out his brothers, but none of them ever listened to him in the beginning, so he just stopped bringing them up.
He stood up, looking at the white lines. If he was right, then theoretically he would be able to take the power core out back at New York, shutting down all droids here and leaving the Kraang aliens defenseless. He was pretty sure Donnie might have some retro mutagen left as well, that way if they chose to use mutagen as a last line of defense, they'd be able to combat it.
He let out a breath, wiping some vital parts of the plan out with his foot in case the Kraang came back and saw it. He looked back at the portal and tucked the piece of chalk into his belt before stepping through.
The first thing he noticed was the extra appendages on his back before he fell forward. He stood up and swayed, looking down at himself.
His eyes widened in alarm and he realized his plan was already failing.
He got down on his hooves and looked around. He was in the library back at the castle, and it looked like a couple of things had changed. Two ponies he didn't recognize stood in the room, on two of the seven thrones.
The pinkish purple one looked over in alarm when Mikey trotted over. "Hey. Uh, have you guys seen-"
He yelped when he was captured in a pink bubble and lifted in the air.
"Who are you?" The blue pony asked.
"I-I'm Mikey..." he stammered.
The pink pony paced a bit, pulling the bubble after her. "I've heard that name before."
The doors opened and the three looked over to see Twilight walking in, book bags on her back. She was looking through a scroll. Spike walked beside her, munching on some sapphires.
"Twilight! You're back!" The pink pony hid the bubble behind one of the thrones.
Twilight looked over, a brow raised. "Yeah...? I told you I would be back later today."
"Twilight!" Mikey yelled from inside the bubble, kicking at the boundary.
Twilight looked around in confusion. "Starlight what was that?"
Spike looked up at the bubble. "Oh hey Mikey."
Twilight teleported over and frowned. "Mikey? What are you doing here."
He pranced a bit inside the bubble. "It's a long story."
"Starlight, let him go."
Starlight blinked and dispelled the bubble. Mikey landed on the floor and quickly got back up.
"What's going on?"
"Donnie wrote to you about how we ended up at the high school right?"
She blinked and pulled her book out of her bag, flipping through it. "Oh. Looks like it, yes."
"Well the Kraang came through into that world. And I thought going back through the portal would take me back into New York so I could take the problem out at the source, but it brought me here."
Twilight frowned. "This is a concern..."
"My brothers wouldn't listen to me when I tried to tell them." He followed her as she walked over to a bookshelf and started looking through books.
"I didn't expect you to be so on top on things like this." She looked through the book.
He shifted a bit. "They've never listened to my ideas, so I just acted oblivious and innocent. But now that they're not listening to me, I had to take things into my own hands."
She nodded in understanding.
"Twilight what's going on?" Starlight inquired.
Twilight looked at her and shoved the book at Mikey. He wrapped an arm around it and walked over with the others, sitting down in Pinkie's throne as Twilight started the story of how they met the turtle brothers.
