his foot tapped speedily on the ground as he stared into space. even after one week, taehyung was having trouble visiting the hospital. the boys all looked at one another before looking back at taehyung. for the past seven days, taehyung had been living a double life. he was falsely bubbly on stage and unusually quiet back home.

the boys could only imagine how down he was.

"i should be happy that she finally woke up, right?" he asked, looking to his bandmates.

"you're not happy?" jungkook asked. taehyung scratched his head and stood up from his chair. he began walking down the hall, looking for the information desk, and jimin quickly followed behind him.

"hey, what's going on?" jimin said, catching up to him. the woman behind the desk held up a finger and picked up the ringing phone. taehyung turned to jimin instead. "i just hope that she isn't going to be mad at me." taehyung said looking down. it had been something that was weighing down on his mind for a few days now.

"why would she be mad at you?"

"it's my fault that she's in here." taehyung started.

"don't do that-"

"it is! she would have never hit her head if it wasn't for me yanking her out of the way." taehyung interrupted.

"if you hadn't have yanked her out of the way, she would be dead!" jimin said strongly. taehyung didn't say anything, letting his head fall in his hands.

jimin knew that he was going to get to this point eventually. taehyung went into worry mode if he saw so much as a slight frown on jiho's face. oh, and if he heard a sniffle or cough, all hell would break loose. his sanity depended on jiho's well-being and taehyung's emotional transparency affected everyone around him.

ever since jiho had come into the hospital, all of the members fed off of his aura. everyone felt disheartened and sluggish.

"you saved her, man. she's breathing because of you." jimin said in a softer tone. taehyung dragged his hands from over his face and sighed.

"i know that i saved her from the car but i'm still responsible for her falling." he said, resigned. before jimin could respond, the nurse hung up the phone.

"you're here for ms. lee jiho right?" she asked. taehyung nodded and she gave him jiho's new room number; room 13. she also handed them two "visitor" badges. the nurse pointed in the direction of the room and taehyung began walking with jimin following behind.

for once, jimin didn't know what to say. he prayed that everything would be alright once taehyung saw jiho moving around. after all, jiho was the only person that would make him feel better. it was a quiet walk to the room as jimin searched his brain for encouraging words and taehyung tried to push aside his dark thoughts.

when room number 13 came up, the boys briefly stopped. they'd been informed that jiho woke up late last night. this would be the first time, in a week, that they got to see jiho awake. taehyung grabbed at the door handle just as it started opening. the two boys jumped back as an older doctor walked out.

"oh, i'm sorry." the doctor said. he closed the door as jimin and taehyung greeted him. the doctor, finally taking notice of their faces, smiled and clapped them on the shoulder. he'd seen taehyung every day of the week so far.

"oh, it's just you boys. nice to see you again." the older gentleman said. taehyung gave him a small smile and asked how jiho were doing. "well, everything is...okay" he said.
