"—and you have no clue who mark is?" the doctor asked. taehyung sighed, the bags under his eyes seeming to grow larger with each question.

"no. i have no idea who he is but she seemed really afraid of him." he said. he ran his fingers through his hair and continued walking down to the parking lot with the doctor right beside him. everything was silent between the two men; the doctor looking over jiho chart and taehyung practically moving like a zombie. he hadn't been to sleep since two nights ago when jiho freaked out in the room.

"it's obviously someone from her past. maybe she was in an abusive relationship?" the doctor suggested.

"i don't know. wouldn't she tell me that?" taehyung asked, stopping in his steps.

the doctor shrugged, following him to the car. moving quickly, the two men got into the car and the driver took them to the front of the hospital where jiho were waiting with a nurse.

"and you really think that this will help?" taehyung asked. the doctor continued scribbling down a few notes and sighed.

"it couldn't hurt." he said, looking up.

taehyung opened the door and stepped out of the car to go to jiho. he smiled, holding his hand out to her.

"where are we going?" she asked, looking up at him. jiho was nervous. ever since her mental breakdown last week, she was on constant watch. throughout the day, jiho had to have at least one nurse in the room with her. although taehyung had already told her that they were just afraid that she'd hurt yourself, jiho couldn't help but to feel uneasy being under surveillance. it made jiho feel like criminal or something.

"they want to take you to places that would help you remember. so, places that have a strong meaning for you." he said.

jiho sighed but took his hand anyway. his smile did make a few of your nerves slip away. she really liked him. ever since she woke up in that hospital room, she was terrified. as a matter of fact, jiho didn't stop crying until she saw him for the first time. seeing his face and hearing his voice was amazingly soothing.

he laced his fingers through her and led jiho to the car. he let her get in first, briefly breaking the hold between her hands. she hesitantly rested her head on his shoulder and he smiled before telling the driver where to go.

"the hospital is funding this?" she asked. taehyung shook his head and laughed.

"no, the company is paying—"

"your company? why would they pay for my treatment?" jiho asked immediately.

"well, part of it is because they don't want you to turn around and sue us. the other part is that, they thought it would help me." he said hesitantly. she sat up, ready to ask about his comment just as the car stopped. taehyung opened the car door and she followed him out.

her eyes locked on a small bakery and she smiled. taehyung smiled with her, happy that jiho remembered this place. she grabbed his hand, fingers lacing through his as she stared up at the street sign directly to her left.

"why are you dragging me over here?" taehyung asked, laughing. with bright eyes and a sniffle, jiho continued pulling him toward the sidewalk.

"because today is the eve of christmas eve." she said happily. tae laughed again but let her drag him to the street sign.

"the eve of christmas eve?" he repeated. she nodded and stopped directly to the left of the sign. she turned to him and, using his shoulders, positioned him perfectly. with a deep breath, jiho let him go. she was practically bouncing in place, making him laugh.

"did we switch personalities for the day?" he asked. she laughed but told him to 'shut up'.

"this is the day where we first met last year, remember?" jiho asked.

"i remember but why are we here—"

his words stopped short as realization hit. this was where they met. snow slowly began to fall and jiho shivered a little. earlier, she was so excited about coming here that she forgot to grab a jacket. she just grabbed tae and yanked him to this side of town.

jiho wrapped her arms around herself as the wind picked up.

"jiho, come on. let's go inside. you're cold." he said, his smile slightly falling. he'd been this way since she met him. when she was hot, he would do whatever it took to cool her down. when she was cold, he would literally give her the clothes off of his back. when she was sick, sad, or upset, nothing else to him until she was feeling better.

taehyung started to pull her toward a small bakery and she planted her feet in place to stop him.

"tae, wait a second—"

"you're going to turn into a block of ice." he complained as she sniffled.

ignoring his words, jiho pulled him back to the street sign. taehyung sighed before taking his jacket off. he put it around her shoulders, that being the only way that he could win.

she smiled at him before hugging her arms around his waist. he was taken by surprise but quickly adjusted, hugging her back.

"thanks for always being there for me." she said, letting her head rest against him. he smiled and pulled back a little.

"you say that like you're a lot to handle
" he responded.

"well, even if it doesn't seem like it, you do a lot for me. you're, like, all of my happiness wrapped into one person." jiho laughed. he smiled before pushing her toward the bakery doors. even though he'd stopped talking about it, he was still worried that she would be cold.
