Marry me

"So you're my fiancé?" I look behind me and find Natsu staring at me. "N-Natsu?!" he looks at me with a hint of happiness in his eyes, but there's something else, confusion.

"So you're a Heartfilia?" I look down and he chuckles nervously. "Sorry I didn't mean for it to sound rude. I'm just a bit taken back." I look up at him, a tint of red covers his face. Cute. I take his hand and I go into the maze. "I knew the name Dragneel sounded familiar. I just couldn't piece it together. It all makes sense now. When I told the girls they somehow became super invested in me giving my fiancé a chance... now I know why."

"If I would have known it was you I would have actually proposed earlier." My face feels like it's burning. I'm pretty sure my face is the color of Erza's hair. He realizes what he says and his face become red. "I-I didn't mean it like that. I-I mean I did b-but I umm..."

"Don't worry about it... I get it." He nods and we continue walking around the maze with me guiding. I realize we're still holding hands and smile. "We confessed and I got all upset for not being able to be with you because of the fact that I was going to get married to someone else."

"If I would have known it was you it would have made things so much easier."

We arrive to the center of the maze and sit down on a bench. (the middle of the maze has a small fountain and a few benches in it) I rest my head on his shoulder and he rests his head on top of mine. "I'm glad it's you that I have to marry," I look up at him and we both lean in. "So am I Natsu." He closes the space between us and our lips collide. Everything around us is gone, right now it's just us two. I meant it when I said I was also glad I would marry him. we pull away and he smiles. "Is it too late to propose?" I giggle and pull him back towards me, our lips meeting once again. this night could have been the worst night of my life but it's not, and it's all because he's here.

At some point the kiss turned into a make out session and we had lost track of time. "Lucy! Natsu!" we pull away as we hear Erza yelling our names. "I forgot about the party..." we stand up and he takes my hand. I lead us back to the outside of the maze and are meted by Erza and Levy. "See. I told you it wouldn't be that bad."

We both blush and look down. "Okay, okay. Let's get going your parents are going to announce the new to the media."

We get there and Natsu goes to stand by his father and I stand next to mine. I keep looking back at Natsu and I see his face lit up with joy. His little sister, I suppose, hands him something as my dad gets everyone's attention. "Listen everyone, Natsu has something he wants to say." Natsu then comes over to me and takes my hand in his. He kneels down and I just stare at him. "Lucy, I have liked you for a while. I love you and I would love to be with you forever. I know this is extremely rushed and that we're really young but... Lucy would you marry me?"

I nod my head and I pull him up towards a hug. He puts the ring on my finger and he pulls me in for a kiss. After the whole commotion is over and we are sitting down at our table I decide to ask something, "Where did you get a ring from?" he chuckles and looks at me. "Wendy said it would be wrong to announce our wedding without you having a ring, my dad seemed to agree with that so he asked your dad if he could help look for an engagement ring. I was completely unaware of this though." I giggle at his words. "guess it wasn't too late to propose."

After a while I see Juvia walking around with someone. "Natsu, who's that?" he looks towards where Juvia is and chuckles. "Gray. He wanted to come to the party to get his mind off of Juvia rejecting him... guess things might have gone better than we would have expected."

Juvia and Gray walk around, he tries to be "smooth" and pull a couple moves on Juvia... from our point of view they both look like a nervous wreck. Gray tries to do something but keeps making a fool out of himself making Juvia giggle. "Gray can get ant girl he wants, but when it comes to Juvia he's a mess." Natsu sighs and he shakes his head. I giggle at Natsu's actions and he pulls me towards him.

"So what now Mrs. Dragneel?" my face gets hot and he lets out a small laugh. "Don't laugh! It's not funny..." he kisses my forehead and smiles, "I'm joking Luce."

"Yeah you better be," I turn around and begin to walk away. He takes my hand and walks with me.

Once the party is over we go inside. The girls decide to stay the night and they go wait upstairs in my room while my dad and Igneel talk to us.

"Igneel would you like the boys to stay over? We have more than enough extra rooms." Gray and Natsu nod leaving Igneel with no other option. "I suppose they could stay." I giggle as Gray and Natsu smile at the fact that they can stay over. Igneel leaves due to the fact that he has a flight booked early in the morning and doesn't want to miss his flight.
