Lunch

Class ended and I had a free period. I made my way to the art hall and went to one of the practice rooms and began playing the piano. I played Titanium on the piano and began to sing.

I played and sang random songs all period, a few minutes before the bell rang I began singing.

Just as she finished the song the bell rang to go to lunch. As I exited the practice room I saw my brother waiting outside. "I hadn't heard you sing in a while. You sound a lot like mom." I blushed at his compliment. I didn't think anyone had heard me singing. "Thanks Loke."  We made our way to the cafeteria, Loke had his arm around me seeing as the guys kept looking at me. He glared at them and I just giggled. "what's so funny?" he asked. I looked at him and smiled. "it's just that it's weird seeing you so over protective." The last time I had seen him like this was 2 years ago when we went to visit him, he took me to the park we found one of his friends and he tried to flirt with me. Loke immediately took my hand and walked away, his friend began calling us to come back, Loke returned and told him he couldn't go anywhere near me and that they if he said anything about me to him he would get hurt.   "I'm your brother it's my job to take care of you." He said the same thing back then, he cares about me and I really appreciate that.

"Thanks Loke, but I can take care of myself." He looks at me and smiles. "I know. But it's fun to scare guys away from you."  As we enter the cafeteria I see Natsu and Gray arguing, once they see me and Loke they stop. They both have a weird expression on their face. Gray seems surprised and a bit upset. Natsu on the other hand looks disappointed and sad. Erza sits down as we approach the table, "Lucy, Loke, I'm glad you could join us. How has your first day at Fairy Tail going so far Loke?"

"It's good, thanks for asking Erza. Lucy showed me around, it may be her second day here but she already knows the place well. You showed her around yesterday right?" I warned Loke about Erza earlier by text, I'm guessing he's trying to make a good impression. "I did. Take a seat, everyone will be here shortly and you can meet them." Gajeel arrives and sees us, he looks towards Natsu and Gray. I then realize Loke still has his arm over my shoulders. We sit down and I notice Loke glaring at the guys around our table staring at me. "Loke please stop." He looks back at me and takes his arm off my shoulder, "I just don't like the way they stare at you, I told dad I would protect and take care of my little sister and that's what I'm doing." I roll my eyes and I notice Gray and Gajeel have a slight smirk on their faces. Natsu's face is back to its goofy grin. "You don't have the same last name though." A boy with blue hair sits down next to Erza, he has a red tattoo on his face, it's under and above his right eye. "What do you mean?" Natsu asks as he stares at the blue haired boy. "His name is Loke Lion; her name is Lucy Ashley. Why is he calling you his sister? Unless there is something I don't know about." He looks at Erza and she stays quiet and looks down. "What do you mean Jellal?" he looks at Erza and shakes his head, he stands up and leaves.

"I'll be right back," Erza stands up and goes after the bluenette, "Jellal wait!"

"What was that?" Loke looked back towards the boys and they shrugged. "Jellal thinks that Erza is keeping something from him." Gray says as he looks around.

"Why would he think that?" Loke asks as he takes out his lunch. "Well... Ever since yesterday when Erza told us about Lucy joining us, she looked a bit off. Jellal have known each other for years, they tell each other everything. Jellal noticed and tried to talk to Erza about it, she didn't say anything, she just ignored it." He sighs and Natsu decides to step in. "When he found out there was a new student today he went to talk to Erza and she just began acting the same way as yesterday. He's just worried, we all are, we think she might be hiding something from us but we aren't going to confront her about it." Erza did seem shocked when she found out I am Heartfilia, maybe that's why she has been acting that way.

"What could she be hiding?" Loke can you please stop getting into other people's business. "Not really. Anyways. You guys are related?" Gajeel asks and I look at Loke, he seems alarmed at first but quickly recovers, he looks down and smiles slightly. "When we were kids we were great friends. When Lucy's parents died my parents took her in and she became like a sister to me..." that is the lamest excuse I have ever heard. "Loke stop telling people that, it's alarming how bad off a liar you are. Loke and I have known each other for years, he even has the same birthday as me, and people say we kind of look alike so we tell everyone we're related. Loke's family lives is Spain, he's living with me and my dad while he studies here." Loke smacks me on the head and I look back at him. "what was that for?!" he says his story was better and I smack him on the head I tell him he shouldn't go around lying, (despite the fact that what I am telling is also a lie, it seems less depressing though.) he says he's sorry and we continue eating.

Soon enough two blue haired girls join us. One has shoulder length light blue messy hair, she has an orange headband and her school uniform. The other has slightly darker hair, it's a bit wavy and has a light blue headband, she also has her school uniform on under a large hoodie. They introduce themselves and sit down. The girl with the orange headband is Levy McGarden, she's the girl Gajeel was helping out in the library. The other girl is Juvia, the girl that's on the swim team and had a crush on Gray. Lunch goes by pretty quickly and soon enough the bell rings.

Levy and I go to our next class, turns out we both have the same class after lunch. We get there and sit down together, we begin to talk about books and authors.
