Past lover (A Nalu Fanfic)

The end of a begining

She looks into my eyes, her beautiful blue eyes staring into mine, her short hair covers her eyes.

She begs for me to stay but I can't, I'm already fading away.

"Please! You can't die now." Tears fell down her face.

Seeing her like this made me so sad. "Don't cry." I tell her.

A single tear falls from her eyes onto

my face. "Lis I can't make it and you know that."

"You can't die. Please! You promised we would always be together!"

I lay on the floor of our home. We were young and in love we both ran away; her parents didn't approve of us being together. They found us yesterday, we were trying to get away but they found us. They got in this morning and tried to take her away. She was to be married to a guy ten years older than her, I didn't have money like the guy she would marry, they were in debt and wanted to go from the middle class the upper class.

I resisted and they shot me.

As her short white hair covered her face and tears fell from her eyes, she was taken away.

Elisa, I'm sorry I couldn't protect you.

"Soru! Put me down! SORU!"

Then everything goes dark.

I wake up in the middle of a beautiful field of tulips. They were Elisa's favorite. There's a bridge, it looks so beautiful here, I don't know where I am but I know I'm not alive. I walk to the bridge and look back to the field.

I'll see you again Elisa, in another life.

As I cross the bridge I am held back by someone, I look back, it's Elisa. She looks at me with her beautiful blue eyes.

She reaches for my hand and lifts her other hand to my face.  Why was she here? I died, that means.... I want to ask what happened, I don't know how she died, I just know that she's here with me. We can both move on to another life.  "Lis what are you doing here?"

"I ran as much as I could, I got to the bridge that leads to town and they were so close behind me I panicked and jumped into the river. After that everything went dark and now I'm here."

I won't be Sorumeito Ryuu in my next life, and she will no longer be Elisa Yoshida, but I know we will find each other in our next life. When that happens we will be happy.
