Thursday afternoon. Natsu's Pov.
I get home and dad tells me I needed to go get measured so my tux would be ready for the party we were invited to next Friday. I go do what I have to do and Wendy comes out of her room with a bunch of fabric samples. "What's that Wendy?" she explains that she and mom are looking for the prettiest fabric for her dress.
I get to my room and decide to text Gray. I tell him about the party and he asks me if he could come with me as a guest. When I ask why he responds with, "Juvia keeps rejecting me, I need to do something to get her out of my mind." I ask my parents and they say that it was okay for me to bring Gray along with us. So far only Gray knows about this, my family owns the 6th richest company in the country. The Heartfilia family is in the 1st place because of all the investments it has made around the world, it is in the top five richest companies in the world. No one at school really recognize the name due to the fact that we aren't that well known due to the fact that we aren't in the top 5. I tell him to come over to get measured as well, he says it's not necessary but both me and my mother insist. He comes over and he decides to spend the night.
We talk about Gray's problems with Juvia. He tells me he regrets ignoring her, he really wants to get to know her better. I tell him it's his fault and he begins to sulk in the corner of the room thinking about his life decisions. He stops sulking after a few minutes and he asks me about Lucy. I tell him what happened when I first met her. he looks at me with amusement. "Soulmates." I look at him in confusion and tilt my head to the side slightly. "Soulmates?" he explains the whole concept to me and I feel even more confused. "Is that the same case with you and Juvia?" he looks down and considers. "The eyes are the windows to your soul. I don't know if it's the same with Juvia. Every time I try to talk to her she looks away or ignores me." He begins sulking again but stops the moment Wendy knocks on the door and says those 3 magical words. "Dinner is ready!" we race downstairs and sit down, mom puts the food on the table and we begin eating.
"Natsu, we have something to tell you." I look towards my dad and he motions towards mom. "Natsu I know you might not agree to this but, since your father and Jude Heartfilia have been friends for years, they have made an agreement. You have never met him or his kids before, but, we want you to marry his daughter." I feel something inside me shatter. I really wanted to believe that in time something could happen between me and Lucy to make us more than friends. Now those possibilities are gone. "I can't I like someone else."
"Natsu, give her a chance you will get to meet her next Friday. You never know you might like her more than the other girl. Also Gray as you are well aware, your father's company is rising at a fast rate. Give Silver my congratulations on his good work." Gray's family ran a business as well, his father and my father had been friends for years, that's how me and gray knew each other. Igneel told silver to join him in some businesses, once silver had gotten good at the job dad helped him open a company for the Fullbuster family "Thanks, it's because of that deal he made with you, it really helped him get some more money." After dinner me and Gray go up to my room to sleep. I ask him what would happen if I invited Juvia to come with us to the party and he begins to freaking out. "I would make a fool out of myself and she would find out about the company. I would invite her if my family would have got invited but because we are a newer company we weren't invited. Also she probably wouldn't even listen to me." I tell him I feel bad for him and get in bed, he throws a pillow at my face and falls asleep on the sofa.
