Birthday Whispers

It was your birthday~! Everyone in your class sang happy birthday to you in the morning, some gave you gifts, others hugged you and people in your class who never talked to you, waved and said happy birthday. You were one of the youngest students in your class.

During art class, you plugged in your earbuds and began painting; stroking yellow on the paper with your paintbrush. As you were painting, you remembered your best-friend Kise cheering happy birthday to you, you smiled fondly.

There was an empty seat next to you. Kise, who was late for class, waltzed in and sat next to you excitedly. He looked at you and saw your yellow aesthetic painting. He smiled and sighed. Kise leaned towards you and removed one earbud. He began singing the happy birthday song in your ear quietly.

"... Happy birthday to you, (Name)cchi~~!"

You quickly turned around, not realising how close Kise was. Your lips crashed into his lips accidentally. Even though you were hearing music from one earbud, you could tell that the whole art room was silent. Even worse, it was so quiet that everyone could hear what you were listening to; a romantic song. You and Kise both turned red, you looked at each other, Kise started giggling awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck.

Everyone laughed and cooed at you two. After that, everyone went back to work. You turned to Kise and smiled awkwardly.

"I am so sorry, Kise-kun!" You whispered quietly, turning red. Kise immediately hugged you. He smelt nice, like a field of sunflowers.

"You are so cute, (Name)cchi!" Kise squealed, pretty much fanboying, "Why are you so adorable?!" You hugged Kise back, smiling.

"You remind me of sunflowers~" You suddenly blurted out, still hugging him back. "You're always so happy and standing tall! I really like you."

"Really?! I feel the same too!" Kise raised his voice higher. He hugged you tighter, he kissed your cheek and whispered.

"Happy birthday, (Name)cchi! And I love you!"
