Cats in the Rain

You and your friends believed that finding cats in the rain would mean finding love. You believed half of it and every time it was raining, you hoped that you'd find a cat and someone of your type would walk up to you and hold an umbrella over your head. You would fantasise romantic scenarios in your head during the rainy days and hope that your crush; Kise Ryouta, would bump into you.

"Good afternoon~! What are you girls talking about so happily?" Kise walked into the classroom with a smile.

"Ooh! Today is going to rain! Girls, our search for cats will happen today and one of us should at least find our soulmate!" Your friend cheered, ignoring Kise.

"They ignored me!" The blond male pouted. You look over your shoulder and smiled at Kise.

"Sorry. We were just talking about finding cats in the rain." You giggled, you explained to Kise your myth and theories, trying to sound smart.

Kise's Point Of View

(Name)-san explained to me about their 'love theory'. Gosh! She looks so cute! It was hard for me to listen to her, but then it was about a love theory, I wondered if this myth actually worked. I also wondered if she liked anyone? I hoped it was me.

Finding cats in the rain? It sounds crazy, but I somehow want to believe it. Ah! Today will rain, maybe I'll find someone~ The clock ticked 4:00 pm. Well it was time to leave for basketball practice. I waved goodbye to my school mates and walked out of the door. Rain started to pour down, as I stopped in front of the gym door. The door was locked and it was raining like crazy... I guess I'll stand under the rain, and look for cats.

As I looked down on my shoes, a grey cat began running towards me.
"Kitty! Don't leave me!" I looked up and saw (Name)-san running after the cat while holding an umbrella. Hold on...

"K-Kise-kun?" Her voice squeaked. This cat has lead her here. To me! "H-Hello! Um hahaha! I guess this cat has brought me here... Wait you are soaking wet!" (Name)-san walked towards me and held the umbrella over my head. We both immediately turned red.

"You don't have to do this. I-I'm fine!" I stuttered. It's been a while since I've had feelings for anyone, I forgot how embarrassing I can feel. "You would probably want to do other things right now."

"I can't let you get wet and sick! You are our basketball team's ace!" She smiled at me. I suddenly felt heavy and tired. Maybe I was getting sick. Gah! I've made her worry...

"(Name)-san, I'm sorry... Maybe I am sick, also..." Maybe this was the right chance to tell her. "I really like you. Really like you. I wish I could hug you and um kiss you, but I'm sick." Ugh! I'm an idiot. Someone kick me!

(Name)-san smiled at me, blushing. She hugged me tightly, she then touched my cheeks with her dainty fingers.
"Aww! Kise-kun, feel better soon! So then I can kiss you, alright?"

"O-Okay!" I smiled. In the distance, Kasamatsu-senpai was running towards the gym, checking his watch.

"Good luck at practice!" She smiled, gave me the umbrella and ran off with the grey cat following her. The cat looked back and started running towards me.
