Summer Training + Date

It was halfway through the summer holidays. You and Kise planned to go the beach today but Kasamatsu reminded that there was summer basketball training. Kise forgotten and sheepishly tried to rearrange the date of the training. You laughed and held Kise's hand telling him that it was alright and that you'd go with them for training.

"Okay but you can't go distracting your idiot boyfriend during the training." Kasamatsu warned. You and the captain became great friends ever since you came to Kaijou. You even helped build up his courage with talking to girls. You pouted, pretending to be sad as you waved bye at Kise dramatically.

You sat down on the sand under the umbrella, looking fabulous in your summer attire. You let you hair fall on your shoulders as you let yourself relax in the warm summer breeze.

After hours of practice, the basketball team decided to run a few laps around for a final finale. You watched Kise run with bubbly-ness but with determination. He seemed extra focused today. Maybe he was trying to show off to his girlfriend~ aka you!

As you watch him run off into the sunset, three drunk older men walked towards you groggily, holding their half full bottles. You began to feel uncomfortable with their whistling.

"Hello pretty lady~" One of the men called out. Another one began stroking your hair, you flinched away and walked off, leaving all the stuff behind except for a book you were reading.

"What's the-" The third man hiccuped, "matter?"
You stayed silent but eyes them with anger and slight fear, wishing Kise would come back.
"A pretty and quiet girl huh?" The man smiled. "Lucky us."

Your eyes widened, you began running for your life after throwing the book into one of their faces. Kise and his teammates were just coming back from the lap and saw you running away.

"Why is (Name)cchi running away?" Kise's heart skipped a beat or two after realising and sprinted off your direction along with Kasamatsu.

The two Kaijou players sprinted with all their might, though they didn't have to since the drunk men were running awkwardly, tripping on rocks. Kise zoomed past them, towards you. But as he was running, he slapped one of their backs and gave the middle finger while running.

"Don't touch my girlfriend ever again!" He screamed. He has never been this angry his entire life or given anyone the middle finger. You heard him scream and turned around and stopped running. Kise immediately collided with you, falling on the sand with him on top.

"Ah sorry! Are you okay? Did they do anything horrible to you? You're not injured, are you? Hmph! I'm going to make them pay!" Kise asked you billions of questions with tears forming in his eyes. He was so worried that he would lose you. You hugged him and patted his head to make him feel better.

"I'm sorry for making you worry. But thank you for coming after me. I love you so much!" You whispered smoothly in his ear. That moment was so peaceful, even after the adrenaline. The waves splashing against the shore, Kise's breath down your neck, the soft touch of his hair, your back against the sand. Even Kasamatsu's angry kicking screams sounded alright.

"I promise, next time we'll have a much better summer date. Next time it won't be a training plus a date, it'll be a date date and you'll be safe in my arms and no one will make you feel scared ever again."
