You were a new student in Teiko Middle School. It was so uncomfortable for you because you moved in halfway through the year. Meaning, everyone was already in their small cliques and getting in them would be difficult.

But luckily it wasn't.

You were in a class with Kise Ryouta, and Momoi Satsuki, your only female best friend in your clique. Somehow you ended up being friends with the basketball team, it wasn't a bad thing though they were all such fun people to be around.

It was the last few days of school, exams were finally over and your class was playing dodgeball with another class that had Aomine Daiki and Akashi Seijuro. You and Kise complained how it was an unfair advantage but quickly lightened up after motivating each other with a bet, whoever gets out first between the two of you, has to treat the other out on a date. You thought of it as a friend date but Kise seemed really excited about that, but you just brushed it off, bringing your game face on.

The game started with the miracles absolutely running for the soft balls and throwing it at each other with such intensity. Aomine aimed at Kise but failed, accidentally smashing it on the ground as if dunking a basketball. Kise threw the ball casually after seeing someone else do it. It hit Aomine because he was too focused on the girls' breasts bouncing to be alert of his surroundings. Akashi face-palmed completely annoyed and threw a soft ball towards Kise.

You and Momoi were laughing so hard at Aomine that when you took a breathe and stepped back, you stepped in front of Kise and took a hit right on your cheek and fell on the floor dumbfounded. Momoi burst into a fit of laughter as she helped you up and walked with you to the side where all the other losers were.

"Hahah you have to treat me on a date now!" Kise laughed and pumped his fist in the air but then looked at you with a concerned look. "Are you okay though? Do you need an ice pack? How about I treat you out and you can just treat me some other time? Ahh! I feel bad now-"

"Kise! Watch out!!" You called out. Kise dodged the ball right on time. "I'm fine! Thanks for asking! And I'm taking you out! I lost fair and square."

You rubbed the tears of happiness from your eyes and saw a flicker of Kise smiling so fondly at you with lovestruck eyes. You rubbed your eyes again and he was already focused on the game.
