Stargazing

Have you ever seen something (or someone...) so wonderful that even a camera can't capture their beauty? And all you can do is just watch and smile at it so fondly and maybe even sigh.

It was school camp, our class went to the mountains and hiked. We also slept in tents that made me uncomfortable because Aominecchi kept talking about earthworms under us. Gross...

One night, all of us were stargazing. We were all admiring the tranquil night and the indefinite stars above us. Midorimacchi and Murasakibaracchi were debating about stars; that they were made out of food. Of course, Midorimacchi disagrees. Akashicchi and Kurokocchi were just peacefully lying down on the nice, no-earthworms, grass. I think Kurokocchi fell asleep just a few minutes ago, that's so cute! Aominecchi and Momocchi were arguing about who would be a better star between them. They're like an arguing, old couple. I looked over to the person beside me, it was (Name)cchi.

A smile forms on my face as the night sky twinkled with a billion of luminous balls of gas we call stars (I think they're made out of gas... I'm not sure?). Stars are so beautiful and can make anyone feel safe and happy by just being there. That's what we feel with people too right? That's what I feel with (Name)cchi.

She turned her head and looked into my eyes and smiled. Ah! My heart! I held my breath from the excitement (Name)cchi was giving me. She giggled with her adorable, angel-like voice. I blushed.

"Y-You... Yo-ou... Um... Uh..." I somehow lost all words I needed to say to my crush. I blushed harder as AHOminecchi started laughing at me, saying that I looked like a dying earthworm. I hid my face in my hands in embarrassment, and in disgust. Why earthworms?!

My face still in my hands, I said in a muffled voice, "You... You look amazing, (N-Name)cchi. You always do." She placed her hands on my hands, I looked up to her face. Her face is really close. She notices this too and blushes.

Our teachers called us in for dinner. Everyone got up and raced back. (Name)cchi and I stayed back, still holding each others' hands. She stares into my eyes and I stare back. I leaned in closer to her face, heart beating faster. I closed my eyes, and felt (Name)cchi's soft, sweet lips on mine.

She was the most glamorous star I've seen all night.
