The Forbidden Fruit ( Nalu )

.Chapter one.

"Lucy! Time to get up for school!"  My Mother shouted.
I groaned tiredly and roll out of bed.

Every morning is the same boring routine.
I wake up.
Have breakfast with my mother Layla Heartfilia.
And head off to school for the day.

It is always the same. Nothing is exciting anymore.
Because he's gone.
It's been four years since I have seen the person I care about the most. The closest person to me.

 My twin brother Natsu Dragneel.

As soon as I stand up out of bed I stretch out and instinctively look towards a photograph of My mother Layla,  father Igneel, myself and Natsu on my bedside table.
Natsu and I may be twins but we look different. Natsu has beautiful salmon hair, Dark Onyx eyes,  and nicely tanned skin. He takes all of our Fathers genes.
I on the other hand have blonde hair and pale skin,  as well as brown eyes after our Mother.

I smile at the memory of when we got that photo taken. It was only a month before Mother and Father had a divorce and separated us. Natsu and I were only twelve years old. We were happy. We loved each other and our parents as much as any family should,  but apparently it wasn't enough.

Memories of Natsu flood my mind every time I look at this picture.
Memories of when I fell and Natsu carried me on his back.
When I couldn't reach the book I wanted to read in the library so Natsu put me onto his Shoulders so I could get it...
Even when Natsu drew in my favourite book he bought me a new one with the little money he had.
He was always there for me, and I miss him so much.
When Father took Natsu I cried for months....and it never got easier. The worst part is I don't even know where he is,  or how he is doing,  or when I will see him again......

"Lucy! Breakfast!" Mother called, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Coming!" I shouted.

I ran down the stairs and walked into the dining room. I sat down at the table and thanked mum for the food she prepared. 
I gratefully ate the delicious eggs and washed up before running off to get dressed into my school uniform.

I was wearing a white and blue sailors uniform with a big red ribbon in the middle,  and a dark blue skirt. I pulled on my black knee high socks and school shoes and put a part of my hair into a blue ribbon.

I'm ready for another day of school at fairy tail high.....

I walked down stairs and kissed mother on the cheek before I left for school.

"Would you like me to drive you?" Mother asked.

"No thank you. It's a nice day out so I will walk and get some fresh air." I told her politely.

She smiled and waved me off as I walked out the front door.

I took many deep breathes as I walked to school. I will need it.
The people at school aren't exactly the kindest to me. Lots of rumours have been going around ever since I started and it just keeps getting worse.
They say that I'm a slut,  because on my first day of high school the school's heart throb Loke showed me around,  and girls got jealous and created many unpleasant rumours.
Things like this happen I suppose, but I'm not really concerned anymore,  it doesn't bother me.

When I finally arrived at school my best friend Levy ran up to me and greeted me in a warm hug. Her short blue hair flying beautifully in the wind.

"Morning Lu!" she greeted.

"Good morning Levy!" I replied with a big smile.

"You'll never believed what happened yesterday!" She enthused excitedly.

"Well go on! Tell me!"

"OK,  OK,  Gajeel told me that my hair looked good in this Orange ribbon!" Levy squealed gesturing to the ribbon in her hair.

Levy has had a huge crush on Gajeel for years now! And I'm almost 100% sure that he likes her too.

"That's great news!!!" I exclaimed. "Maybe he likes you levy!"

The blue headed girl went red.

"I don't know Lu, I mean we're so different." She sulked.

I giggled."That doesn't mean anything Levy. If you like him you have to pursue him!"

Levy smiled. "I suppose you're right, but I'm just so nervous when I'm around him." She said.

I giggled. "You're so cute Levy." I said making Levy embarrassed.

As Levy and I spoke the school's warning bell rang breaking our conversation.

"Sorry Lu,  talk later I have got to go to class quickly to talk to Mr Macao. See you later!" Levy rushed off.

I waved goodbye and then sighed. I wish levy was in the same class as me so I wasn't alone.

Once I walked into my classroom I instantly walked over to my desk that was up the very back beside the window.
As I walked closer I realised that once again my desk had been vandalised.

'You bitch! Stay away from Loke!' one comment read.

'U r so stupid!'  another read. "They didn't even use proper grammar"....I sighed to myself.

I threw all the dark thoughts out of my mind and sat down in my desk ready for another day of school.
I rested my head on my palm and looked out the window and began to daydream.

I wish Natsu were here so my life would feel complete again.

Before I knew it school had ended. It was the end of the day and I can finally escape back home.
Today the bullying wasn't too bad. It isn't always bad,  just every now and again things happen. It only really happens when Loke comes to speak to me.
After all he claims that he is in love with me and tries to confess frequently. But of course I always turn that flirt down.

"Lu!" Levy called just as I finished taking my bag from my locker.

"Hey Levy. Want to go for a walk with me?" I asked her.

"Sure. That sounds great! We haven't hung out together in awhile. It kind of feels lonely you know." She replied.

"Yeah, I get what you mean."

As I walked with Levy out towards the school gates there seemed to be a big commotion.

"Who is that?"

"He is cute! Is he waiting for his girlfriend?"

"Should I try to confess to him!?"

Girls were going frantic,  huddling around the tall figure.

"What's going on? Who is that I can't see." Levy said.

"What ever is going on I don't want to be involved. Let's just try to get through as quickly as possible." I replied.

As I walked closer I couldn't stop my eyes from travelling towards the figure leaning against the school gates.
When I saw who it was I stopped in place and dropped everything I was holding. My mouth instantly opened in astonishment and tears started to prick my eyes and fall down my cheeks.

As I stared dumbfounded at the man he seemed to feel my gaze and opened his eyes. All of a sudden a deep onyx seemed to stare into my soul,  and fill my lonely heart...

Standing before me was my twin brother.
