The Forbidden Fruit ( Nalu )

.Chapter Sixteen.

As soon as Mira and Lisanna said their goodbyes to their brother Elfman we decided it was time to go. We all got into our assigned cars and seats and then took off from the hot springs.
Once again I was stuck in the middle of Natsu and Loke. Loke was playing video games on his phone and Natsu rested his head on his fist as he looked out the window.

"Natsu?" I asked, but he just continued to stare out the window with a troubled expression.
He ignored me..

I'm really worried about Natsu. Something is really bothering him and he's not acting like himself, not to mention that he isn't even getting motion sickness, which means he is definitely distracted by his thoughts.
But I knew better then to pester him about it. If I did it would just annoy him even more...

I sighed as I sat back in my seat and looked to my front. Jellal was driving the car and I noticed that Erza kept stealing glances at him, which Jellal noticed. He smirked every time he caught her staring at him but I felt more concerned about him looking where he was driving.
But I have to admit they are so adorable, and i'm sure Jellal knows that Erza likes him so why won't he do anything about it!? I mean, at least he can do something about his love...

I shook my head vigorously once I realised what I was thinking....I can't keep letting my mind wander like that..It won't be good for anyone if i do. Especially for....him..........

Unconsciously my eyes wandered over to Natsu and I couldn't take my eyes off him. He was staring out the window longingly and his face was in a permanent scowl.
I wish I knew what was bothering him so I could try to somehow help him...

Natsu's Pov

Something is wrong..
Lucy has been acting differently since we went on this trip. Is it because of him!? Because of Gray!? What is going between them? How do they feel about each other? Is Lucy...In love with him?....
Is this punishment for loving my sister?
Hmm, I need to stop acting like this. Lucy has already noticed that im not acting like myself and I don't want to make her worry.....

Suddenly I felt something heavy lean against my shoulder and I looked over to my right to see what it was.

Lucy......
Defenceless as always......

Subconsciously I reached my hand up to her sleeping face and began to stroke it gently.
Skin so soft....
Lips so peachy and alluring...
Her minor gasps for air as she breathed seemed to make an addictive melody.
She was so small and so vulnerable like a little kitten, right now I could do anything to her and she wouldn't be able to stop me.
That's what i'm worried about...

Argh, what am I doing!? The more I look at Lucy and think about her the deeper I fall in love, and the more it hurts.....
There is only one thing I can do. I have to distance myself from her. I can't let these feelings grow anymore than this or I won't be able to control myself. I'm already almost at breaking point.
I'm sorry Luce, The only way I can stay near you is to stay away from you.

Lucy's Pov

"Lucy, It's time to wake up, we have arrived at your residence." Erza spoke waking me up from my nap.

I yawned widely and I awoke and rubbed my sleepy eyes as I realised that Natsu was gone. Loke too but he must have been dropped off already.

"Where is Natsu?" I asked.

"He already went inside, he took your stuff as well." Jellal informed me.

"Oh, I see. Well thank you alot for the trip and for driving us." I thanked.
