The Forbidden Fruit ( Nalu )

.Chapter three.

During the night I sat up from my bed abruptly and my eyes shot wide open.
I was breathing heavily and tears were pricking my eyes.
I looked over to the clock that was hanging by the wall and realised that it was past midnight.

It has been awhile since I have had a nightmare. And I've never been good at dealing with them.
Although my nightmare wasn't exactly a nightmare. It was more a memory. The memory of when I last saw Natsu and Father. It just kept replaying in my mind. The image of mother, and I crying while Father drove off with Natsu.

As a child I used to always go to Natsu's room If I had a bad dream and climb into bed with him. I would settle down instantly once i was beside him, and he would always comfort me. Otherwise If he wasn't there I wouldn't be able to sleep for the rest of the night. So I suppose you could imagine how many sleepless nights I got while Natsu was gone.

All of a sudden the memories of yesterday flooded my mind and I remembered the amazing event of what happened the previous day.

Natsu was back home!

Instantly I stood up out of bed and started making my way to Natsu's room just like the old days.

Once outside Natsu's room I slowly opened the door and peered through.

Inside Natsu was laying shirtless on his back one arm over his head and the other by his side. His eyes were closed and he was breathing heavily indicating that he was in a deep sleep.

I smiled to myself and tip toed into the room and made myself comfortable in his Queen sized bed.
I laid down next to him and pulled the cover over me.
As I lay there I stare at Natsu, and begin to play with his soft salmon coloured hair. Natsu then began to squirm and I quickly tried to moved my hand away just to have Natsu's hand catch it.

"And just what do you think you are doing?" He smirked.

I felt my cheeks go red. "I uh,  I had a nightmare." I told him.

"So you came to my room?"

"It's just that if I have a nightmare I can't sleep for the rest of the night unless I have someone beside me. And it reminds me of our childhood." I said getting embarrassed.

Natsu smiled and brought me into a hug. He wrapped his arms around me and pressed me against his bare chest.

"Your freezing Luce." He commented.

I felt myself go red.

"You're really warm Natsu."

I heard Natsu start to chuckle.

"I'm really happy I'm with you again." Natsu said contently. "Goodnight Luce."

I smiled to myself and nuzzled my head into Natsu's neck. I'm so happy he is back. 

"Goodnight Natsu."

I woke up this morning to the sound of the bedroom door opening violently.

"Don't you think you're both a bit too old to be sleeping in the same bed!?" Our step father Jude shouted.

Natsu's arms were still wrapped around me and mine around him and we both jolted awake.

"Get up! Or you will be late for school!" Jude said angrily.

Natsu and I yawned at the same time and started laughing.

"Good morning Luce."

"Good morning Natsu."

"Feeling better now?" He asked me.
