Lydia was asleep in her room peacefully, while Elijah was downstairs having an argument with Nicklaus.

They were arguing how Lydia was somehow Elijah's.

"She's a banshee, Elijah!" Niklaus growled at his brother, who kept his calm.

"I'm aware of that, Niklaus. She is no harm." Elijah said, as he paced the room.

"You can't trust an omen of death!" Klaus said, setting Elijah off.

"She's mine, Niklaus! You have no say on her life, or mine!" Elijah yelled back in anger.

"She is not yours!" Klaus yelled, before storming towards the stairs towards Lydia's room.

Elijah sped up the stairs past his brother to stop him from touching Lydia.

"Stay away from her!" He yelled at his brother, before shoving him backwards away from the door.

Klaus sped away from his brother, as Elijah turned towards the door behind him.

Elijah opened the door, and closed it behind him as he entered the room.

His dark eyes landed on Lydia, who was sat up, her hair in a messy bun, her eyes looked tired.

"I didn't wake you did I?" Elijah asked calmly, as he was in his training clothes, distracting Lydia from her answer.

"I...uh.."she trailed off, her eyes studied his arms and his torso.

"Lydia." He said, moving towards the bed.

"Huh? Oh, sorry, I got distracted. I woke up to shouting, so I guess you woke me up." Lydia replied.

"I'm sorry, princess." Elijah sighed. "I couldn't stop myself, Niklaus threatened to do something to you, I'm not sure what it was, but I was only protecting you." Elijah added, as Lydia smiled lightly at him.

"Thank you, Elijah." She said, as a knock at the door stopped the two from doing anything.

The door soon opened, revealing Klaus standing in the doorway, making Elijah immediately stand up.

"No need to get all defensive over your 'princess' Elijah." Klaus said, stepping into the room. By now, Lydia was standing at her wardrobe, not paying attention to either one of them.

"What do you want now, Niklaus?" Elijah asked, tugging at the cuff of his shirt.

The hybrid rolled his shoulders, as he looked towards the girl at the far corner of the room, his eyes admired her, before Elijah stepped in his view, probably to shield Lydia from Klaus's wandering eyes.

"Come now, brother. A sneak peek at your so called princess won't do any harm." Klaus smiled, before being pushed backwards by Elijah before he even took one step forward.

"I guess I could say the same thing about your precious Cammie." Elijah retorted, playing with his brothers anger.

"You dare talk about her!" Klaus yelled in anger, as Lydia flinched at the loudness of his voice.

Quickly, Klaus pushed Elijah aside, before using his speed to pin Lydia to the wall by her throat. His eyes turned the dark colour so recognisable, the iris a bright yellow.

"You look ravishing." He said, ready to sink his fangs into her neck. Lydia had her hands scratching at his hand, before she saw Elijah stagger to his feet, from being pushed aside roughly.

Lydia let out the loud scream, causing Klaus to fall to the ground in pain, dropping Lydia to the floor in the process.

Elijah immediately rushed to Lydia's said, pulling her in her arms.

"I told you, Elijah! This girl will tear the family apart!" Klaus roared in anger, before rushing off, seething in anger

Lydia looked up at Elijah, who was inspecting her neck for any bites or bruises from Klaus.

"I'm fine, Elijah." She said, placing her hand on his leg.

"I'm making sure you're fine, I would loose my mind if he had hurt you." Elijah growled in annoyance.

Lydia was his! Not Klaus'! How dare he lay a finger on her and get away with it! Elijah practically marked Lydia! Lydia was Elijah's and only his.

"Elijah, I'm fine, I promise. I'm breathing aren't I?" She said, as she turned his face so he was facing him, his eyes were dark, and veins were visible from under his eyes.

"You're-" Elijah was cut off, when Lydia wrapped her arms around his neck, and hugged him tightly.

"I'm fine. I promise. I'm yours and only yours, I understand that. He didn't do anything, Elijah, I promise." Lydia whispered calmly, as his eyes slowly slipped back to their calm counterpart.
