Last night has to be the most spectacular night of my existence. We have no more secrets—Lana knows the truth and she didn't run away, on the contrary, she invited me to stay with her as she slept. I was upset when she started talking about her Kindred, believing she truly was meant for someone less monstrous than myself. I almost left, heartbroken, until she said that I was her Kindred.
And in that moment, I was enveloped in bliss, so much so, that I needed to kiss her. As I did, I felt her attraction for me grow inside of her, which only made my urge to claim her, to mark her as my own, ascend. It took all of my will power, not to kiss her again and continue on with more...intimate things.
I crave to take things slow with her, enjoy my time with her instead of achieving instant gratification. I've spent too long waiting to find happiness, and now that I have, I have no intentions to rush through it. Lana deserves to be wooed and I aim to do just that.
With a smile on my face, I gaze down at my gorgeous mate—asleep in my arms. She looks so peaceful, her head still resting on my chest and she is wrapped around me like a vine. I revel in luxury from the sparks that are dancing everywhere she is touching me. The hum of her delicate skin against my marble body is nothing short of sensational.
Glancing at the time, I notice she only has five minutes until her alarm goes off. A thought flashes into my mind, and I don't stop to think it through. Leaning my head down slowly, I place my lips against hers, greatly enjoying the warmth of them. After a couple of pecks, I gently tug her bottom lip. A happy sigh comes from her before she kisses back, a smirk forming against my lips.
I lean back with a smile, my eyes locked onto her face. "Good morning, darlin'."
"That was the best way to wake up." She scoots up and places her head on my shoulder, murmuring sleepily, "Feel free to wake me up like that anytime."
Suddenly, her alarm begins to blare, drawing our attention. Lana lifts her hand into the air and the phone flies directly into her palm before she turns the alarm off. All happening in less that three seconds.
"How long have you been able to do that?" I inquire, both impressed and curious.
"For a while. However, last night was the first time I was able to lift a person." Lana sighs before going on, "Before I moved back here, I couldn't lift anything heavier than my phone. When Ian came back, he brought a friend, Kyle, to help me. Kyle is a master of telekinesis, so for the last couple of weeks we have been training."
After processing her words, I ask another question, "Do you think I could come watch next time?"
"Sure. Ian told me the other day that Bash could finally come watch." Her pink lips tilt up into a fond smile. "I'd love for you to be there." She pauses and curiosity flows from her, "Can anyone else in your family feel emotions?"
"No, that's just me." I raise my hand, brushing a strand of hair out of her face, and deciding to answer her questions more thoroughly, "Alice can see visions of the future, but it's inconsistent, depending on decisions we make. Edward can read minds."
Bewildered, Lana's eyes double in size as she speaks, "Edward reads minds?! Oh, shit..." She pauses for a long moment, and I can see the wheels turning in her gaze. "Actually...that makes since, now that I think about it."
