BEEP. BEEP. BE-

Leaning over, I slam my palm down on the snooze button, with displeased moaning, I roll over and blink up at the ceiling. Slinging the blankets off, I sit up and stretch my back, being rewarded with a few cracks in the process. As I'm rubbing sleep from my eyes, I drag my feet to the bathroom and wash my face—waking myself up.

After drying my face with a soft hand towel, I step into my room and begin stripping off my night clothes. In a matter of seconds, I'm putting on my bra and then long-sleeved black top. Followed by pulling on a pair of ripped leggings and a gray skirt that reaches mid-thigh. Quickly, I make my bed so that will be one less thing for Nan to do later.

Once that's done, I stride to the closet and pull out my knee high gray suede boots to complete my outfit. In a quick method, I style my hair in loose curls, parting it down the middle. Next, I start on my makeup, adding grey eyeshadow and winging my eyes with black liner before adding a couple coats of mascara. To finish off the look, I paint my lips with a pale purple—almost grey—shade of lipstick called 'Scorpio'. My personal favorite, so much so, that I purchased three of them.

Rising to my feet, I stroll into my closet to grab my black leather jacket before collecting my bag off my purple couch. After double checking to make sure I have everything, I'm dashing down the stairs and into the kitchen. Nan left this morning—like she explained the night before—she is working the morning rush at the local coffee shop. I haven't been there, but she loves it.

Maybe I should stop by the shop after school. I mean, you can never go wrong with a few cups of caffeinated-bean-juice.

I place my things on the bar, walking to the fridge. Grabbing the bowl of fruit, I place it in front of myself on the countertop and begin eating as my gaze focuses on the nature outside of the window. I'm mid bite when my phone starts buzzing.

Izzy: Just got in the truck, be there soon.

Svetlana: Finishing breakfast now. See you then.

I eat a couple more slices of pineapple before I placing the bowl back in the fridge and running upstairs to brush my teeth. Afterward, I rush back downstairs, pulling my jacket on hastily. In seconds, I'm outside while closing and locking the door. The air is chilly, causing goosebumps on my arms and a grin to spread across my face.

It's so damn good to be back.

I'm just about to pull out my phone when I hear a loud engine approaching. Looking up, I find Bella pulling up in the drive way. I smile at her while I jog over and climb into the passenger side.

"How was your first night in Forks?" I glance over at her as I buckle my seatbelt.

"I didn't sleep much." Bella puts the truck in reverse before turning the way she came. "The rain was really annoying and constant. I tossed for a few hours before I finally fell asleep."

"Personally, I love the rain. Knocks me out in seconds." I pause to think for a moment, "Maybe you should turn on some music to drown out the rain."

"I can try it," she replies tiredly, offering me a small smile.

The two of us sit in comfortable silence as she drives us to school. Its starting to drizzle when we pull into the school parking lot and pass the Forks High School sign. I can see a collection of matching buildings, built with maroon colored bricks, bringing back a horde of memories. There are so many trees and bushes surrounding the school, still basically the same as the last time I saw it.
