Holla. I'm here to provide fellow cover makers with some tips. I've noticed some things that people have been doing in their covers that are straight up ugly as hell. Here are a few tips for y'all to follow.
1. PNGS
I will never understand why some people make their pngs look so ugly. Here are some do's and don'ts for your pngs.
•DO -
Have nice, proportionate pngs.
•DON'T -When y'all are putting pngs on your covers, do you not notice how bad it looks with the png so stretched close together? It's one of my biggest pet peeves. Don't do it y'all. It's ugly as hell.
•DO -
Make sure the png looks good and crisp. Try to search "... photoshoot." It helps you find better pictures.
• DON'T -
Don't leave parts of the background on the png. It looks gross asf.
• DO -
Make the the bottom of your png blended when you add smoke or something under the png. It looks seamless and neat.
•DON'T -
For god's sake please don't do this. It looks so ugly and I cringe when I see covers like this. It's ugly and gross. DON'T DO IT.
2. FILTERS
The filter you pick can make or break your cover. I filter everything I do, so you should too. But here are some things to do and not do.
•DO -
If you want to make your png black and white, just turn the saturation down. It's as simple as that.
•DON'T -
Don't use one of the pre made filters on superimpose. They're all ugly as hell and only work for specific covers. Just stick to something else.
I'm tired as hell, so I'm gonna make a part two to this later. But for now, here are some tips y'all should follow.
