Havolynne saw Colin knock Charles down.
She saw Charles disappear.
Havolynne also felt a creepy, cold-yet-warm hand wrapped over her mouth, and drag her into their Invisibility Rune.

Charles had to use his Invisibility. If he didn't he actually might lose to his weak opponent. But he was troubled that a Circle 4 Elemental was beating him, a Circle 8.
He pushed the thought aside.
He needed to focus on getting that Sphere.
Any minute now, the Equinox would start, and he needed to make sure he had the Sphere, and also Havolynne.
If the Equinox Sphere was removed, he would literally take the spirit of Fall. The Equinox tree would die, and there would be no more FALL. There would be no harvests, no transition between Summer and Winter, and everything would be off balance. And if he had Havolynne, he could use her to grab the Sphere, then make sure she didn't unfreeze time. Since she was a water elemental, AND had the Heart of Pure, she could control the Season AND time.
But she didn't exactly know all of this.
Havolynne didn't know she could control time to her will.
Plus, there was also a chance she would become Circle 8 too, and well, that scared Charles. She would have COMPLETE power.
That was the danger of Hearts of Magic. Sometimes they had TOO MUCH power.
Too much power is a dangerous thing...

"WHERE ARE YOU COWARD!" Colin yelled, searching for where Charles could've gone.
It was like he disappeared....
Or turned Invisible.
Darn him.
Colin ran over to Connor, who was beginning to move. When Colin looked up to search for Havolynne, she was gone.
Gone.
GONE!?!?!
"HAVOLYNNE!" Colin screamed frantically.
He got no response.

Havolynne looked up to see Charles, holding her, and dragging her to the Equinox tree. About halfway there, a sharp rock jabbed her side and she moaned in pain.
Colin heard her.
"HAVOLYNNE!" Colin called out again.
Havolynne tried to do something to get Colin's attention to where she was, but she couldn't move. it was like she was Paralyzed...
Paralyzed...
Darn Charles and his Runes.

Colin swore he heard Havolynne.
He used his healing rune and healed Connor's splitting headache in a few minutes. As soon as Connor could move, Colin ran towards the Equinox tree, ready to defend it.
The Equinox tree was huge. The tree itself radiated power and emanated a golden glow. The Equinox Sphere laid inside the tree and between the complex trunk's snaking vines. Colin marveled at the auburn light, until he heard scuffles.
