There was only minutes left until the Equinox ended.

Minutes left until Charles will lose everything.

EVERYTHING.

He would lose his chance to throw the world off balance, to make it crumble and perish. He would lose his chance to end all hate in the Physical World, the Rotten World as he called it; as the four of them called it...

*FLASHBACK*

(6th grade; Before Havolynne was abandoned: Magic World, After School)

"UGH! The next time I see any of their faces, I swear I'll knock their teeth out!" Charles punched a tree, then wincing as if regretting it.

"I'm with you on that one," Ethan agreed.

"Guys, it isn't a big deal. It doesn't bother me, really," Havolynne pleaded.

"Havolynne, didn't you HEAR the names they called you? Didn't you FEEL when that b**** slapped you?  If I wasn't there in time..." Charles argued.

"Havolynne, you have to understand, some people aren't the best to be around, no matter what the circumstances," Dove reasoned.

"But, they said--" Havolynne started.

"i don't CARE what they said Havolynne! You need to tell us what happens, to heck with it, EVERYONE needs to promise to say EVERYTHING that happens to them. We will end this shit called bullying. We are going to end it. I PROMISE you that," Charles swore.

"Agreed, DOWN WITH THE ROTTEN WORLD!" Ethan exclaimed.

"ROTTEN WORLD?" Havolynne, Dove and Charles looked at Ethan stupefied.

"What?! I thought it would be a good name!" Ethan shrugged.

"Wow Ethan, you actually thought of something useful, other than murder plans," Dove rolled her eyes.

"HEY!" Ethan yelled as him and Dove argued over how dumb the other was, and the stupid things they did...

"You know, I'm going to call it that now," Charles grinned and picked some blackberries and handed some to Havolynne.

"To the end of the Rotten World," Charles cheered.

"To the end of the Rotten World," Havolynne repeated as they plopped the berries into their mouths, watching the everlasting argument of Dove and Ethan's.

*FLASHBACK OVER*

~~~~~~~~~~~
Not only would he lose his chance to end bullying, he'll also lose Havolynne.
He couldn't lose her.
Not again.
Everyone thought he was cruel. They thought HE had LEFT Havolynne to die.
Yet, no one knew that, that wasn't the case.
So maybe he forced Dove to fly him and Ethan away, but Havolynne didn't know the reason why.
Charles knew that the attacking Elementals wanted ALL four of them alive. Since they were clearly outnumbered, Charles knew it was only a matter of time before they were overpowered. He needed a diversion. it was a gamble, but it just might've worked. If he could get Dove and Ethan away, and himself, that would leave Havolynne, to fend for herself, and perhaps have a better chance at winning assuming the Attackers followed the fleeing three. Charles had latched his hand on Dove and Ethan's wrists, and used Dove as the escape.
