The Magic World

Chapter 14

"I was 11. At school one day, my friend Charles told me, my friend Dove, and my other friend Ethan that he had something to show us. Being curious kids with a huge imagination, we followed him and he brought us to the Magic World. He told us about Runic Magic, and Elementals. It was every kid's dream. Charles showed us his Fire Element. He guessed that we'd all have different elements. He was right. Ethan soon learned his Earth Element. Dove then learned her Air Element, but i hadn't learned my Water Element. Charles kept saying i would get the hang of it. I decided to focus my attention on Runic Magic instead. I ended up higher than all the others. I had gotten to Circle 5, Charles was only at 4, and Ethan and Dove at 2. No matter how hard Charles tried, i was always stronger. One day, Charles realized our signifigance. We seemed to be like the First 4 Elementals. He knew people would come after us, and they did. They came out of nowhere, taking out Charles, then Ethan, then Dove. They tied them up. I ran away. i ran and ran. My pursuers were close behind. I stumbled upon a stream and waded into it. I was a Water Elemental right? It should help me. I heard Dove screams from far away. The two pursuers came and saw me in the water. I didn't see anger or hatred in their eyes, i saw fear. And from that fear i grew angry. They were atacking and taking away my friends and they were SCARED? At that moment i wasn't scared anymore. Something inside me snapped. The stream bursted and engulfed the men, and froze so they were in a big ball of ice. Taking water with me, i ran back to where i last heard Dove scream. I was able to hit one in the back of the head, knocking him out, then taking care of the rest with my Element. I felt unstoppable. I untied Ethan, Dove, and Charles and we ran away.

"Days later, we continued training. I rose to circle 6, and Charles managed to do the same. Ethan rose up to 5, and Dove to 4. My Elemental Powers got stronger, as i learned how to heal with water. Ethan got stronger, and Dove learned how to bend sound. Charles though, was strongest. His Fire was so strong, yet it wasn't blue. He began practicing Lightning Bending. It didn't work out well, but Charles was stubborn and kept trying.

"And of course, i should've known what would happen next. The people who attacked us before came back, but with stronger reinforcements. Someone SERIOUSLY wanted us dead. Charles, Lily, Ethan and i stood back to back. We used all of our Elements and it seemed that we were winning. That is, until i noticed Charles, Ethan, and Dove weren't behind me anymore. Charles stood there, holding onto Ethan and Dove's wrists, holding them hostage. He smirked at me and made Dove fly off. And she didn't even protest.

"They left me alone. ME. The one who came back to save THEM.

"I was clearly outnumbered. I managed to hold them off until finally, i was DONE. After being pressured, I ended up becoming 7th Circle and used Invisibility to escape. I ran away and out of the Magic World. The place that i loved to be in, now nothing to me. I left without looking back.

"This was my first time back since then. 4 years later.

"When i woke up though, i thought the nightmare was over. But that dark figure's voice went through my head. It said 'Who will it be? Them or Connor and Colin?'

"Guys, whoever it is, I think they either 1) Were the ones attacking Me, Dove, Ethan, and Charles, 2) they HAVE Dove, Ethan, and Charles hostage, 3) were after YOU TWO, or 4) They want to hurt either of you guys. I can't ask you to go with me to the Equinox Tree guys, cause i wouldn't live with myself if you or Connor got hurt, Colin!!!" Havolynne said, directing it mostly at Colin.

"I'm coming no matter what," Colin promised.

"Me too," Connor said.

Didn't they see they were walking into their own deaths? Havolynne thought.

NO. She WON'T let it be their deaths. She'd rather it be hers.
