I immediately saw him holding a tray and he was coming near our table.

"Here you go," he said while putting the plates on the table. The sweet smell of the beefsteak stuck on my nose which gave me a great appetite.

"By the way, laro namin bukas. Want to watch?" he asked while looking at me with curiosity.

He's one of the basketball varsities here on our campus—the captain. He even got the title of being the most valuable player last year.

"Huh? I asked bizarrely.

Actually, I'm not into watching basketball games but what I really love the most is watching volleyball and it's my favorite sport.

"Watching... I guess?" he replied as he shrugged his shoulder. "Puwede mo rin akong i-cheer, kung gusto mo," he added and took a slice of his steak.

"Swerte mo naman," I scoffed. " As if naman walang mag-che-cheer sa'yo."

Probably a bunch of girls would cheer on him. He's famous around with girls when it comes to playing basketball or even just being him.

"Mas gaganahan akong maglaro kapag ikaw 'yong mag-che-cheer."

Damn! here it goes again. My damn heart was beating so fast and it was like there were butterflies in my stomach, flying around as if they were provoking my emotions.

I said as I mocking him.

"Totoo 'yong sinabi ko. A basketball captain needs her cheerleader to play well in the game." Now he winked at me.

Heck, I'm going crazy! Both of my cheeks heated so I leaned my head on my right side, for him not to notice. Damn! His words cannot be underestimated that easily.

"Hey! Are you even listening? Sige na Vic kapag natalo ako, kasalan mo talaga," he whined as he was blaming me.

Right now, he was like a child forcing me to watch his game. He wouldn't stop whining.

"Wow! kasalanan ko pa." My jaw dropped in disbelief. "Don't blame me for your clumsiness," I reasoned out, trying to put the blame on him.

"Could you just watch, please?"

"Oh siya! Para matahimik ka na, pupunta na ako... pero libre mo ticket tapos isasama ko si Dave," I said to shut him up.

"Yes!" he exclaimed immediately. "Sure you can take him and no worries... may ticket na ako." Really? That was fast though. I wasn't expecting that from him.

It was my last spoon and I had already eaten it.  I drank the mineral water that he bought and I'm done.

"So, by the way, napano na 'yong si Euree? He was the captain before, right?" I asked as I recalled.
