So today, was a good day.

Vicky? I've never heard you this excited before, what's going on?

I've been having an augment with this one professor at my school. He's a real misogynist, I mean I think women and men play different roles in relationships but neither is more important, he thinks women are basically servants.

Alright. I can agree with you, why is this good news?

My mother was on campus, sober. And I remember why I love her and put up with her bullshit.

What did she do?

She was waiting for me, I had left a book in my locker and we were driving past the school so I said I would be a minute, in this minute after I come back out, book in hand...

Are you really going to make me ask? Come on what did she do?

I don't know how it started. But when I came out the professor was on his knees in front of her while she scolded him. In front of a group of students.

Oh my gosh!

I know, best part, as I hurried after her this guy, Reed, the top dog of the school, grabs my arm and tells me my mom is awesome. He envied me.

Your not the top dog of your school?

Not a chance, I spend my time studying not partying. My mom finally came through and got me some popularity points.

Not to mention told off a misogyny.

Exactly. As hard as she is to live with, you got to pity anyone who gets on her bad side.

She sounds so cool, I really want to meet her.

You will, probably. I mean you work at my grandfathers restaurant.

There is that.

Klair, I was talking to her today and she said she'd give me a day off if I do her a favour.

Nice, what sort of favour?

I have to... She wants me to go for supper with my father.

Weren't you going to do that regardless.

On my own terms, now she wants to be there. All they do is bicker. It's going to be a nightmare.

The ups and downs of Vicky's life.

But I'm going to do it. It'll be worth it.

Just to see me?

That, and getting away from my mother, who is trying to control my every move.

Haha, she sounds so strange.

That she is.

Oh, I've got to go. Shit. I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Sure, bye.
