Hello?
Hey, so today was really long. I'm kind of tired but I said I'd call.
Well you did now, if you want to you can go have a bath or something.
Thanks but I'd prefer to talk to you.
Oh, thanks. About what?
Oh, didn't think of that... How's your mom?
Fine, she, uh, got my professor fired.
What? How?
Talked to the school board, apparently she has a lot more power than I thought she did.
That's good though, right?
It is. I just hope it doesn't affect me. Her antics usually do.
How would it affect you?
She yelled at a barista in a Starbucks and because I was there, we were both banned. As a small example.
Haha, she sounds so fun.
Sure, not for me. I like blending into the background.
Really?
Well yes. My fathers name gets me a lot of attention and I know how to handle that sort of attention. But things on a smaller scale are harder. I don't know how to explain it.
I think I sort of understand. You know how to act as your fathers son. But when people pay attention to you as Vicky, without your father, your not sure what they expect.
Something like that. How did you know?
We have been talking for months.
I suppose.
Well, I am really tired, I'll call you tomorrow? Or you can call, whichever.
I'll call you.
Till tomorrow then.
