Lost Souls [Once Upon A Time]

Pan POV

I walked through the forest towards the camp with Felix. We silently traveled, him with his club and I my pipes. I brought them to my lips to play, but something jolted through me. I stopped walking, shocked, but didn't let it show on my face. Felix noticed that I stopped and did so also. He turned and looked at me, confused. 

"What is it?"

"Someone's on the island."

"How is that possible? The curse..." his voice trailed off.

"I know. Search the island. If you find anyone, cage them." I flew into the air and looked down at him. "I'll start at the beach." 

Felix turned away from the direction of the camp and started to jog. I flew up through the branches and raised up over the island. I flew in all directions and after about 30 minutes came to the beach. Fresh footprints were washing away in the light of the setting sun. They led into the forest. That person couldnt've gotten far. But I had a feeling that Felix was getting close to them. 

I felt annoyed that I didn't know exactly where that intruder was. That was the thing with me. I guess I had to meet them or at least see them to know where they are at every second. Sort of like you can tag a dog and know where it is every second after you tag it. You can't tag a dog you don't know exists. 

I knew Felix would find them soon, so I just flew over to my Thinking Tree. I pulled out my pipes and tried to play, uninterrupted this time.

As I played I thought about the curse. There could be no blips in the curse. No bends. Cora made it that way. And yet someone entered the island. What was special about this person? Was the curse fading? How did they get here? Pegasus-sail? Magic bean? Mermaid? I couldn't always feel mermaids leave the island. And I knew who they were and where they were. Wait, a mermaid went missing. A couple of days ago. She probably left the island and came back with someone. That explains why there were footprints on the beach.

Felix was getting closer very fast. He must hear something. He was running. I took the pipes from my lips. He was by the old camp. Some boys went hunting out there and came back this afternoon.

I flew up into the air and hovered over the forest. I knew Felix was there, he was just standing in one place. What was that idiot doing? All of a sudden I watched as my shadow flew out of the forest balcony. A little light lit up in a spot of the forest. He was lighting a fire? Now?

All of a sudden I heard a scream. I was instantly at that spot by the fireside. Felix had that someone over his shoulders. My eyes widened. It was a girl. The one from the curse. The one I was supposed to love.
