Peter POV

I walked along the trail. I wasn't in any hurry. She couldn't get far. I realized that I didn't know her name. I should probably ask her sometime. Well, after I find her. I knew I was getting close. I think my tracker sense on her was getting stronger. I looked up at the sky, the moon shining through the trees. I didn't want to fall in love with her. I didn't want to fall in love with anyone. I liked myself and that was all that mattered. I don't care if anyone wanted to leave Neverland or enter it. I could stay like this forever and I would be just fine. I don't need anyone. I'm fine by myself.

Something splashed below me. At first I was confused. It hadn't rained in weeks. Then I realized it was blood. I sprinted. Then I flew. I stopped suddenly.

She was there, motionless, drowning in her own blood. Her shirt was ripped in half and the fabric was used as a tourniquet. Below that was a horrible broken leg. I flew over to her and picked her up.

I thought of camp and instantly I was there, with her in my arms. Blood was all over my shirt. My entire front side was drenched in it. I guess that's why the lost boys instantly stopped all laughing and chatter. Their eyes were almost popping out of their heads. Except for Felix. He just turned around shocked, then got up and ran to get the healing water.

I was steaming. I couldn't believe that I taught them to sit there like blubbering fools.

"Idiots! Go do something useful!" I shouted at them. They dropped their food and ran to get bandages or something. Much better.

I walked over to the medical tent and placed her down, her head on a pillow. I don't know how she got blood in her hair, but it got all over the pillow.  Felix handed me the healing water, fresh from the spring, the heart of Neverland. I pushed it away.

"She has to choose to take it. We can't give it to her without her knowing the consequences." Felix took out his own canteen. I ripped open her pant leg and examined the wound. We would have to re-position the bone. It needed to be pushed back into her leg.

Felix handed me the canteen and I poured water over the wound. I put my hand on the bone and pushed down. It went back into the wound, but sloppily so. I waved my hand over the injury and we heard a loud crack. I had successfully rejoined the bones.

Sam came over and handed me the bandages. I wrapped them around her leg and tied them off tightly.

After some time, the colour returned to her cheeks and her pulse steadied. I had saved her. Felix came up to me.

" Should I put her back?"

"In the cage? Are you MAD? The same thing will happen over again. I'll take her to my tree." I picked her up and walked through the forest. I thought of the tree and I was there.

Only Felix knows that I actually sleep. And where I sleep. I don't have a tent. I have my tree. It stands sturdy above ground, hiding a tunnel that leads to an underground fort. I guess you could call it that. Its like a giant hole in the ground covered up by a giant tree. And there's only one way to get in.

I flew up to the branch and walked towards the trunk. I pulled on a vine and the door opened. I walked in and it closed behind me. I walked down some very narrow steps and got to the bottom, after a while. The roomy area was bright, filled with candles. I laid her down on some furs and took my pipes from the table beside it. I walked over to my chair and sat, relaxed. I brought the pipes to my lips and started to play a lullaby. I made up all the songs that I play. I've been playing for so long. Suddenly, I heard a voice.

"That's beautiful."

She was awake.

Hey all! Annie again. I hope you liked that little twist with Peter living underneath the tree. I was inspired by the original story of Peter Pan. Anyway, feel free to leave a comment and tell me what you think! Ciao!
