I was glad that Harry got the message, but after he helped me the other day, I couldn't help but feel a little mad at myself for saying that.

I guess I stopped thinking for a moment because I found myself running towards him, yelling his name to get his attention. I stopped behind him and moved my arm out to attach to his arm. He spun around, both of us freezing at the lack of space between our faces. I could feel his hot minty breath on my face. I took a step back to put enough space between us before speaking, hoping that I don't regret what I'm about to say.

"My next class is Geography, what's yours?" The noticeable smile on his face told me that this may not have been such a bad idea.

"I have Geography too, Mrs Donnybrook?" His smile was still visible making me quietly laugh while nodding.

I walked off in front of him but stopped when he didn't follow. "You coming?" I asked as I turned around seeing he was still in the same place.

"You're going the wrong way," his hand pointed in the opposite way to where I was walking, I walked back to him, stopping when I was in front of him, "Last time you said that I got pummeled, I'm not so sure I should trust following you again," the playfulness in my voice was obvious, but it still managed to wipe the smile off his face.

I felt bad for saying that, but I'm glad he feels bad about it too.

"How about I lead but you tell me where to go?" I tried to compromise with him so I felt comfortable with the situation. His smile returned and he nodded while pointing in the direction we were going to be walking in.

Neither of us talked during the walk as none of us knew what to say to each other.

Geography flew by pretty quickly as Harry and I had sat next to each other, so we talked about meaningless things for the hour, getting minimal work done.

I had realised Harry and I were a lot alike, we enjoyed the same music, had the same interest in movies and read the same genre of books. Although he wouldn't admit it, under his whole bad-boy demeanor he was a nerd.

He'd mentioned that his favourite movie was 'Love Actually' and even though I had seen it, I'd told him I hadn't so maybe we could hang out one day.

"Well maybe one day, you could come over and we can watch it?" The hopeful glint in his eyes didn't go unnoticed and it made my heart race.

"Yeah, that'd be fun," the bell rang signalling lunch, I stood up before Harry to try avoid the fact that I had no one to sit with, and if I could leave before him, he won't have to know that. Although, he had another idea for lunch and I was grateful.

"Do you wanna sit with me for lunch? I don't have anyone to sit with either," my smile dropped at what he'd said, "Not that I mean anything by it, it's just you're new and I'm your only friend. Wait, am I your only friend?"

My ears hurt from his ramble, "Yes Harry, I do have friends. They're just not here," knowing that Harry was basically my only friend was sad, considering how we met.

"Well, at least you have me now, yeah?" I nodded with a smile while he continued, "So lunch?"

I laughed as he asked me again, "I guess I can do that." He nudged my shoulder at my attempt of a joke as we walked towards the cafeteria.

We walked in and all eyes were on us as everyone went silent. I took in a deep shaky breath. I've never been good at being the centre of attention and I didn't want to start now. Harry seemed to notice my dramatic change in moods because the span of his large hand was placed on the small of my back as we walked through the crowded cafeteria.

I tried looking ahead as we walked but the dirty looks I was receiving from all the girls in the room distracted me from where we were going. Luckily Harry's hand on my back helped lead me to the lunch line.

Going through the line of assorted 'uneadible' looking foods, I felt the urge to eat vanish. I picked up an apple to eat and before I could place it on my tray, Harry grabber it from my hand, "If that's all you're going to eat then I'll pay for it," he placed the apple on his nearly over flowing tray and walked towards the lady at the till.

"It's only 50 pence, Harry," I really didn't want him paying for it.

"Exactly," I was obviously to the fact that Harry had already paid and was handing the apple to me, which I slowly grabbed from him.

"Thanks," I said turning around still looking up at him as he smiled down at me.

I took a step forward, placing my foot on something that was not the ground, causing my to slip over. I don't know what was happening but as my butt hit the floor, a bowl of some sort of meat met my chest. I let out a shriek as everyone who witnessed my slip laughed, all pointing at me, creating the most embarrassing moment I had ever had.

The familiar hot tears fell down my face. I was mortified. I couldn't stand it, I hastily stood up, ready to run out of the room. I pushed my way through the crowd that had formed around and ran out the door we'd arrived in.

The tears kept coming down as I ran down the nearly empty hallways. My feet slowed down when I knew I was alone, I bent down, resting my hands on my knees trying to catch my breath and stop crying. With every loud deep breath I took, I'd hear a footstep behind me.

"Jasmine" It was him, I didn't want him to see me like this. I was spun around when he was close enough to me. Almost instantly his hand rested upon my cheek, his soft thumb wiping away my tears before pulling me into his chest, hugging me. My hands flew around his waist as my tears kept flowing. The smell of his cologne seemed to calm me but with his head on mine and him whispering soothing words into my hair, I felt myself calm down.

I pulled away from our embrace and looked at his tear stained shirt instead of his worried face.

"I'm sorry," I choked out as I wiped my eyes which were probably now red and puffy.

The confusion on his face was about and his words matched, "For what?"

I pointed to his shirt, he looked down and laughed at what he saw before speaking again, "Don't be sorry, I didn't really like this shirt anyway." I laughed at his statement, silently thanking him, "Let's go get you a new shirt, huh?"

I nodded as I looked down at my meat stained shirt.

This day could not get any worse.
