Iris' POV
~~~~~~~As I opened the black door that was across from Brynn's yellow one, I couldn't help but let a gasp leave my mouth.
Our rooms were located in a circular wing of the home that looked like it had been newly made. the ceilings were 12 feet high and both rooms were semi circular. It had an art corner with hard wood floors. it also had a camera and photography equipment. the rest of the floor was a bright white fluffy carpet. the furniture was black with a bunk bed style structure with a desk underneath. the California king bed had a black comforter with a crescent moon printed on it. the bed faced the floor to ceiling windows that contrasted from the soft gray walls. A black leather couch faced the wall where a plasma screen tv was him on the wall.
'Perfect.' I whispered as I placed my luggages on the floors. as I sorted out my clothes my mind drifted to the boy in the front room.
'Peter...' I whispered as images of Brynn's older brother flashed through my mind. the only thing different about the boy and peter were their eyes and their accents.
Peter was from America and he attended a highly prestigious high school. he was treated twenty times better than Brynn was and would stand by while she was beat. he wouldn't ever help her. he was never around. Peter had light brown eyes and a strong build, but he always kept his hair short.
I sighed while shaking my head trying to get thoughts of him out of my head. I picked up my pile of t shirts and brought them over to the dresser. I was shocked to see they were already half full with new clothing I had never seen before.
'I love Jamie already.' I smiled to myself as I put my T-shirts in and finished putting the rest of my clothes away. I walked over to the windows and gazed out.
The view was beautiful. Cherry blossoms lined a stone path that cut through the yard to a fenced in garden that I knew Brynn would spend countless hours in. Random assortments of flowers decorated the lawn in neat sections. in the distance I could see a small river that cut through the yard. as I gazed sleep tugged at my eyelids begging me to lay in the comfortable bed across the room.
I made my way slowly to one of the many boxes that lined the wall. after five minutes of digging I found what I was looking for. I made my way up to my bed and crawled under the covers. I fell asleep with the faint smell of my mother drifting from the pillow I cuddled with.
~*~
I woke up to an irritating buzz coming from my messenger bag I had left by the door. after retrieving it i sat down infront of the windows. my phone buzzed again with a mention from the 5SOS boys.
@5SOS: where'd you guys go?
@imalittlekitty1 @imalittlekitty2@Luke5SOS: went to the dorm and it was empty. Did you get a new room? @imalittlekitty1 @imalittlekitty2
@Calum5SOS: did I take it too far? @imalittlekitty1
Tears burned in my eyes as I pictured Calum's sad face. I went to my account page and clicked on the gear icon. I scrolled down a little and clicked the red button. I then exited the app and held my finger down on it till it started wobbling. I then clicked the small x and the home button.
I heard a faint knock on my door. I walked over and cracked it open a bit. I saw Brynn standing there in her moms old Notre Dame sweatshirt and back leggings.
'Do you wanna come into my room?' She asked as she ran her hands through her long hair.
'Yeah sure.' I said stepping out and shutting my door.
She turned around and opened her yellow door. her bare feet padded across the white carpet to French doors that I assumed would lead out to a balcony. I paused as I stepped into her room. it was the same size as mine and had the floor to ceiling windows. Her room had a similar half second floor, but did not have a desk underneath. instead it had three large bookcases and a hanging chair in the center. She had a master bathroom and, like mine it was a pale blue with black tiles. She had an art corner and instead of a tv section she had a black grand piano.
'You coming?' She asked popping her head in from the balcony.
'Yeah just admiring the room. it's perfect for you.'
'Yours suits you so well.' she said as I walked though the door.
The view from Brynns balcony was just as beautiful as mine. there was a stone path lined by cherry blossom trees that went strait to a lake that was fed water by an elegant water fall. the lake emptied into the river that I could see from my room.
'Wow. Like... wow' I whispered. she giggled.
'Those were my exact words when I first saw this.' she said smiling as she took a seat on a, most likely waterproof, sectional couch.
'You should see mine.'
'Really?' she turned her head in a questionable manner.
'Yeah. there's a garden.'
'No.'
'Yes.'
'What kind of flowers are in it? are there Forget-me-nots? are there daisies? Are there-'
'Brynn! I don't know!' I said laughing at her childish excitement.
'Oh sorry.' she said laughing.
'Hey can I ask you something?' I asked when a small silence settled between us.
'Did I delete my twitter?'
'Yeah. How'd you know?' I was shocked.
'I noticed you deleted yours when I was thinking about deleting mine. so I did.' she said sadly.
'Do you really think they cared that we left?' I asked as I watched a fox run across the path.
'No. they didn't even know us.' she said lowering her gaze to her chipping nails.
'They knew enough.' I defended
'They knew too much.' she said with a worried tone.
And after some thought, I started to think she was right.
