Come second period, we finally got some time to compare our schedules to see if we had any classes together. Shockingly, we had every single class together this year. That was shocking since we usually only have one or two classes together, if that. I’m thinking it might be because of our teachers and the fact that we get up to more mayhem when we’re put together. I mean…we’ve pranked just about every teacher in this school, along with almost all of the jocks and cheerleaders.
It seriously felt like a lifetime before lunch time would come. It was only second period, and we didn't have it until after fourth. Please, bell, go faster! I yelled in my mind at the clock, but when that didn’t work I sighed.
--Lunch time--
We both let out a relieved sigh as the fourth period ending bell rang. I thought maybe my stomach would eat itself, I was that hungry. Seeing as Zac made me rush to leave this morning and there wasn’t anything to eat, I didn't get anything for breakfast.
“Hey, do you know what we're having for lunch today?" I asked Christina while scanning the wall for the menu.
“I'm not sure...” she trailed off, scanning the wall as well, “ooh, David!” She yelled as I finally spotted the lunch menu.
“What does David have to do with anything?” I mumbled, too distracted with trying to find out what today’s lunch was.
“Nice to know you don't care about me anymore…” He said. I looked up to see one of our best guy friends pouting at me. I laughed and gave him an apologetic look.
“Hey David. Sorry, I’m just so hungry!" I said overdramatically, putting the back of my hand on my forehead. We busted up laughing at that little gesture. “So…where were you this morning, David?” I ask as I grab a tray with nuggets on it.
“Eh…here, there, and everywhere…” He said casually. Christina and I looked at each other rolling our eyes. That’s usually what he says when he’s been with a girl, but doesn’t want us to know about it.
Once we got to the end of the line, I paid for my lunch and waited for them to finish paying. Then we headed over to our table in which all of our other friends were already seated. Christina left me no choice other than sitting beside Erik. She thinks we'd be great together, but he really just creeps me out. Ever since sophomore year when everyone went to this party where I got dared to kiss him, he's been practically stalking me. Of course, Christina's crazy self thinks it's cute that he follows me like a lost puppy. I glared at her, yet it didn’t even phase her, she just smiled at me.
“Hey, Gabby!” I sighed.
“Um, hi Erik. And, it's Gabrielle.”
Christina just had to barge in, “I thought you hated people calling you that?” I gave her 'the look', you know...the one that clearly tells you to shut your mouth, or you'll be in trouble? Yea, that one. And, of course, she ignored it. Thankfully, though, she got distracted by someone shouting at her from another table. I don’t really hate that name, I just don’t like saying it because it’s a mouthful.
