I pulled up on the opposite side of Jay's house a few houses down, onto the curb. If anything went down I didn't want my car to be right in his driveway. Even though it wasn't my personal car, I still didn't want problems. Pulling my keys out of the ignition, I looked over at Rome who was scrolling through his phone.

"You ready?" I asked him. He nodded.

"I got no choice." he chuckled.

We both got out of the car and I locked the doors behind us. I started walkin towards Jay's house and pulled on my hood as Rome did the same. It was still rainin outside but not as hard as before.

As we walked side by side, I took a look around the large neighborhood. I had only been to Jay's house twice before. But I remembered his neighborhood because it was an older hood that his parents stayed in. The house that he's in now was given to him by them.

"Are we there yet? Damn my legs startin to hurt." Rome groaned. I sucked my teeth.

"Man we haven't even been walkin for three minutes yet and yo ass complainin."

"I ain't think it was this far."

"You need to work out. We're almost there." I said, shaking my head.

As I got closer to Jay's house, I saw his car there and another car. I'm guessin it's his wife's but you never know wit him. His ass be messin around on the low. I motioned for Rome to follow me as I crossed the street.

We both walked onto the sidewalk facing Jay's house and finally up his driveway. Walking up the pathway, I reached the front door. Before I rung the doorbell, I stopped in my tracks.

"Just follow my lead. Just be coo."

Rome nodded. "Aight."

I rung the doorbell and waited for someone to answer. We were standing there for a few seconds until I heard the locks being undone. As the door opened, a woman appeared.

"Hi. Oh wow." she smiled. She looked between me and Rome then placed her attention back to me.

"What's up. Is Jay here?" I asked smiling back. I had to put on a front to make everything seem good.

"Uh yea he is. He's upstairs. Come in." she smiled again, then stepped aside.

I walked in first with Rome following in behind me. I stopped in the foyer waiting for his wife I guess, to show us the way into the house. She walked past us and we followed her into a large living room.

"You can make yourself comfortable. I'll go and get him."

"Aight." I replied, sitting back into the couch.

"Oh by the way. I'm Sierra. Hopefully Jay has told you about me." she smiled. I nodded.

"He has. He talks about you all the time shawty." I lied. She blushed and made her way up the stairs.

I looked over at Rome once she was out of sight. This nigga was holding back a laugh

"What?"

"Why you lie to her bro?" he laughed. I shrugged.

"I can't let her know the truth. That's not my place to tell her that her man be cheatin."

Rome shook his head. "Mann that a-"

He stopped in his sentence when he heard someone comin down the stairs. Turning my head to see who it was, there stood Jay coming towards us. As he got closer I could tell he was surprised to see me. But even more so surprised that I wasn't by myself.
