Matt took Tom's hand as he ran to Matilda's car, pulling the brunette behind him. Tom was excited, but his legs already hurt. He hadn't gotten out in such a long time. He lost a lot of muscle tone. Matt smiled down at Tom. Tom looked up and gave him a condolencing smile. Matt squeezed Tom's hand. "It's going to be okay. I'm here for you." Tom smiled down to himself. "Thank you." Matt squeezed Tom's hand again, but turned his attention to Matilda. "Hey! You and your girl ready?" Matt put emphasis on the "your". Matilda liked it. She smiled at her brother. "That depends. Are you and your boy ready?" It was almost mocking, but she lightly laughed at the end. Matt looked at Tom quickly. His face was pure scarlette. "Well," Matt glided his thumb across the barista's knuckles. "He's not mine yet. I want to make sure he's going to be 100% happy with the decision." He smiled at his sister. Tom's face temperature and colour were going down to normal.

Matt slid into the back seat of Matilda's car. It wasn't cramped. It was a convertible. Tom sat beside him, their hands still locked together. Matilda started towards the mall. It wasn't that long of a drive, but it was long enough for a few conversations to be tossed around. "Matt, I don't know if I can to this." Tom was starting to regret his decision. Matilda and Ell had their own conversation in the front seat. Matt scooted closer to Tom. He ran his hand through the other's hair. Tom closed his eyes at the contact, but opened them and redirected them to Matt. "It's going to be okay. I promise. You are strong. You can do this." Matt reassured Tom with another hand squeeze. "I don't look good." Tom turned his head down to look at the floor. That struck Matt directly in the heart. Matt thought Tom was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. But he didn't see how much Tom disliked himself. "Don't you dare say that. You are absolutely beautiful." Tom shook his head. "No, I'm not." Matt grabbed Tom's chin and made him look at him. "You are the most beautiful person I have ever seen. I don't know what you see, but I see a beautiful person that I am willing to stop the world for. A beautiful boy that I am willing to wait years for. Don't you dare tell me that you are any less." Tom had teared up. "I'm sorry.." Matt cupped Tom's face with both of his hands. "It's okay. We can do this. You can do this." He wiped away Tom's tears and smiled at him. Tom nodded and smiled back.

They pulled up at the mall and hopped out of the car. Matilda took Ell's hand and led her into the mall. Matt laughed and started towards the building. Tom took his hand and followed him. They got there significantly slower than the girls, but that was okay. They had planned on splitting up either way. Matt looked down at Tom. "We have a few hours. Where do you want to go?" Tom thought for a second. "Let's go where you have to, and then we can mess around." Matt thought that was reasonable. The only place he had to go was Sephora, and he didn't need much from there.

Matt got a text from Matilda, "You ready to head home??" He opened his phone and replied, "Yeah, give us a second. We'll be out there in a minute." Matt turned to Tom. They had gotten ice-cream and Tom's was melting on his hand. He panicked and licked it off, but it kept dripping. Tom was in a full panic state by the time Matt wrapped a napkin around Tom's ice-cream and lifted it out of his hands. Tom went to the bathroom and washed his hands so that they wouldn't be sticky. Matt had finished his own ice-cream by the time Tom emerged from the bathroom. Matt gave Tom his cone and gave him a small smile. "Are you ready to go?" Tom nodded his head and grabbed his bag. They only went to one store after they went to Sephora. They went to a bookstore and Tom got a book called "My Heart and Other Black Holes". He liked the sound of it, and the description was perfect. (Yo,, I actually have this book. This book is my all-time favourite book. It's really dark, but if you're into that, you should really check it out!) Matt didn't really like the sound of it, but Tom was so excited to get it, he had to let the little brunette buy it. Tom threw away the rest of his cone. There wasn't much left, so it wasn't really wasting it. Tom's legs were throbbing at this point, but he was having such a good time. "Matt," He brought the ginger's attention to him. "My legs really hurt.." His face was bright red. (Shh I know he blushes a lot,, I just think it's really cute.) It was only a two hour trip to the mall, his legs shouldn't be hurting. But they were. "I got you." Matt winked and Tom gave him a confused look. Matt swung Tom off the ground, picking him up bridal-style and carried him out of the mall. Tom had to cover his face, it was burning so much. "Matt! This is not what I meant." Matt put Tom down when they got to the car. "It worked didn't it?" Tom huffed and pouted as he slid into the car. "Oh, come on. You enjoyed it. It's nice to be carried." Matt smiled cutely at Tom. Tom's walls crumbled down. He smiled back at the freckled ginger, shaking his head in a joking style. Matilda and Ell swooned. Matilda started the car and took the boys home.

Matt quietly opened the door and slid in, Tom following and silently shutting the door behind him. They knew that Edd was probably asleep. Edd took a lot of naps. It was reasonable. Sleeping is nice. Matt and Tom slip into Tom's room. They sit on his bed, shoes off, criss-cross. Tom looks at Matt. "Today was nice." Matt smiled softly. "I'm glad you enjoyed it." Tom looked down, sadly. "That means tomorrow will be a bad day." Matt looked confused. "How do you know that?" Tom raised his head to look at Matt. "Good days are like drinking or doing drugs. It's so nice when it happens, but the next day, you crash. It's because of this goddamn depression. I don't like good days. I crash so hard, and I can't get up for days." Matt examined Tom's face as he talked. His eyes barely even had emotions in them. His eyebrows didn't crease strongly. His mouth didn't move much as he talked. There were deep, dark bags under his eyes. He was naturally dark-skinned, but his face looked drained. Almost empty. Matt felt like crying. He picked himself back up and straightened himself. "We'll just have to make tomorrow even better." Matt's face was determined. He was going to help Tom. Tom's eyebrows raised. "I don't think--" Matt cut him off. "We won't know until we try. We don't have to do much. We don't even have to get out of the car. We can pick up food and go to the nearest lake or something." Tom didn't really think that would work, but he guessed it was worth a shot.

They changed into more comfortable clothes, took their showers early and met back in Tom's room. It was 6:34 in the afternoon. Matt and Tom were going to sleep. That was the most exciting day Tom had had in such a long time. Tom wanted Matt to stay in his room that night. He didn't want to be alone with his own thoughts. His own thoughts scared him. He didn't want to cry. He didn't want to be reminded about his past relationship. He smiled and snuggled up against Matt. Matt made him happy, and Matt was the best thing in his life right now. It was late, but there was still light in the room. Tom looked at Matt. Matt was asleep. Matt looked absolutely beautiful. Tom lovingly examined Matt's face. He started connecting the freckles on Matt's face into constellations. They were very similar. Or at least Tom thought so. Tom loved astrology. He saw the Little and Big Dipper, Ursa Major and Minor, and Canis Major. He smiled and started tracing them lightly. Though, it woke Matt up. He smiled lightly and opened his eyes. "What are you doing?" He looked at Tom lovingly. "Your freckles look like constellations." Tom continued tracing the star formations he saw on the ginger's face. Matt laughed lightly and pulled Tom towards him. "I love you so much." Tom wrapped his arms around Matt and closed his eyes. "I love you, too."

And the beautiful boy fell asleep in the arms of the boy who had constellations on his face.
