"Let's do something today." Tom looked up at the ginger, smiling. Matt smiled back down at him and nodded. They got ready and left the house with the clanging of keys and a resonance of laughter. Edd sauntered out of his room and yawned, stretching his arms out. He turned on the coffee maker and set up his drawing set in the living room. The flat wasn't that big, but it was big enough for the three. They even had a spare room after Tord had left. Edd took a deep breath as he returned to the kitchen and got himself a cup of coffee. He missed Tord. Edd had fallen in love with Tord before he realized what he was doing to Tom. He never saw it. Tord was wonderful to everyone else. Tord was wonderful to Edd.

Edd stirred the creamer and sugar into his coffee, and grabbed a cola from the fridge for after he finished the green cup of piping hot energy, then wriggled his way back into the living room, trying not to spill things while wearing socks on wooden floors. He plopped down on the couch, and situated the area around him, taking a sip of coffee, then starting to work on frames for an Eddisode. He heard a few cars pass by the flat. One of them seemed to be going begrudgingly slow, but he didn't pay too much mind to it. No one came to visit. No one knew them. Edd liked it that way. He didn't have to interact with people that he didn't want to that way. Edd had terrible social anxiety, and even going to the small grocery store a little further into town left him rattled, so Tom and Matt did most of the getting out and getting things. They didn't need much anyways.

Tord passed by Edd's flat, time after time, going slower and slower after each round. He nervously tapped on the steering wheel of his small, red car. He was angry at himself for coming back here. But he had nowhere else to go. Paul and Patryck finally got tired of him and kicked them out of their house. He had gotten so pissed off about it, he left all of his stuff there and just took off in his car. Tord didn't have the audacity to go back and get it.

Tord pulled into the parking lot of the apartment building that Edd's flat was on. He had saw Matt and Tom leave. He had been there for at least eight hours after his twelve hour drive. Tord wanted to make sure he caught Edd alone. He knew Edd would let him stay, but Tom and Matt.. Tord was worried they would actually attack him. Edd didn't have the heart to tell people no, especially Tord. Tord had always gotten what he wanted. The Norwegian ruffled his hair and threw his head back in the seat. He didn't want to take advantage of Edd. He had changed from being abusing, or he at least tried his absolute hardest. He still had anger issues, but they rarely got the best of him anymore. Tord decided to sit in his car for about another twenty minutes, then he had to do something.

Edd heard a car running outside of the flat for a long while. His apartment building didn't have many people in it, and he was only one out of three on that side. He pulled back the curtains on his window to look out front, and saw a small red car humming and sitting crooked in, almost two, parking spots outside of the building. He assumed they were a lost traveller looking at their map or something. Edd thought about going down and helping them, but brushed it off because of both his anxiety, and the fact that if they really needed help, they could go to the front office building and ask. He sat back down and took another sip of his, now lukewarm, coffee, taking a deep breath and continuing on the animated frames.

Tord turned off his car, pulling out the keys and stepping out. He lightly shut his door and shoved the car keys in his pocket, only to pull out one singular, shiny, silver key that had a few numbers and spots of rust on it, but only looked like it had been used a couple of times. And it only had been used a couple of times. Edd got a copy of the flat key for all four of them. Tord had moved, or more had been kicked, out of the flat only around a week and a half after they got it. No one asked for the key, and he never gave it back. He never got rid of it, either. After all that had happened after his relationship with Tom, he one-hundred-percent made the decision to be a better person. He worked on his anger, and made himself enjoyable to have a conversation with. Tord had fixed himself, but that didn't change the past, and it haunted him every day. Tord fiddled with they key as he dragged himself up the sets of metal stairs on the side of the apartment building. Edd's flat was about four stories up, but it felt like twenty for Tord. He saw the door to his former house. His former memories. His former friends. The Norwegian took a deep, broken breath as he lightly touched the leaves to the house-plants that were hanging from the ceiling of the balcony, and the balcony itself. Edd had always liked plants. He lined up the key to the doorknob, and readied himself to see the green-hooded boy that never knew how to stop falling in love.

Edd heard footsteps climb up to the front balcony. He guessed his neighbors got home early from work. He ran a hand through his hair and set his pencil down from sketching, stretching out his body and fixing the pair of shorts he had slipped on. (Sneaky author ;)) He didn't hear the key in the doorknob click. He didn't hear the door slide open. What he did hear, was a memory. A memory that's accent was so thick that it was undeniable. A memory that sent chills up his spine.

"Hello, old friend."
