A knock at the door pulled Cassandra from her terrible sleep as she rolled over, groaning. The knocking only continued as she lazily pushed herself into a sitting position and rubbed her eyes.

For the past four weeks every single day Officer Blake had been coming to her apartment. Cassandra knew that he was trying to keep an eye on her, diagnose her.

At first she didn't even open the door. She pretended like she wasn't home until the knocking stopped and she could sneak to the door and look through the peephole and see that he was indeed gone.

But after the first week with no response it only seemed to push his need to see her more. The first few days he hid from sight of the peephole so that she'd get ready for work and step out into the hallway. While preparing to head to work she'd run into the young officer, everyday this startled and terrorized her, making her not want to leave her apartment.

But by the third week she was used to it. She'd brew coffee and let him come in and sit down and maybe have some breakfast while she put make up on. Then he would bring her to work.

Now it was routine to see him everyday and it felt strange on the weekend when he didn't come.

It was also strange how persistent he was about her condition but she no longer cared. If he was going to kill her he could get it over with and be with Bryan sooner right?

The girl threw her legs over the side of the bed and stood. She stretched for a moment before going to the now silent front door. She unlocked the latch and bolt before opening the door.

Ryan Blake took off his hat and flashed her a breath taking smile with didn't effect the young girl. "Good morning Cassandra."

"Good morning Ryan. Come in and I'll start the coffee." He nodded as he stepped passed her into the apartment and she closed the door.

She put her hands in her sweatshirt pockets as she shuffled across the cold floor and into the kitchen.

She opened the fridge and took out the coffee. The popped the cap from the container and set both down onto the counter. She opened the top of the coffee maker and shuffled her way across the kitchen the cabinet over the stove and over where the microwave hung.

She stretched up and opened the doors and pulled out a coffee strainer. She closed the doors and returned to the coffee maker and placed it inside. She scooped enough mix in to make two cups before she closed it and clicked start.

"I'm going to get changed and do my make up." She told Ryan as she made her way down the hallway to her bedroom.

"Alright. I'll get coffee ready when it's done." He called down after her.

Cassandra closed her bedroom door behind her and she walked over to her closet. The young girl picked out a black pantsuit with a white button up shirt. She grabbed a pair of black heeled boots and set them on the floor next to her clothes.

She let out a sigh as she looked at her outfit for the day and began to change. When she finished changing clothes she slid on her boots and zipped them up and before she stood back up. Cassandra straightened her jacket and made her way to the old vanity.
