After finishing up work Cassandra gathered her things and headed out of the office. Her heels clicked against the pavement as she walked to the train station.

Her hazel eyes stayed glued to the slab of rock under her feet. People hustled and bustled about as they went to bars and shopping malls. But Cassandra just wanted to go home and have a microwaveable meal for dinner.

The wind blew, causing a chill to run down my spine.

She pulled her cold hands from her coat pockets and zipped her coat up the rest of the way, digging her chin slightly into the high collar.

A block ahead of Ms.Williams she heard yelling, the blowing of whistles. She finally looked up from my very interesting feet to see the road being roped off. She saw a crowd of people had begun to form and people were looking on the scene curiously.

Police cars were parked alongside the area to help block it off and the officers were helping to keep the crowd back.

She continued to walk forward until she got to the back of the crowd.

'I know I shouldn't look. Curiosity always pushes me to see what had happened and do things that are stupid to find answers.'

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath as she slowly turned and pushed herself forward to continue walking.

'But I know my curiousity is most certainly not always the right thing to follow. It's better if I just keep walking.'

She was almost away from the scene. She had almost escaped without looking back when loud sirens filled the air behind her and Cassandra heard yelling, loud and crazy.

She turned and immediately felt her heart stop. The thumping of her ears and the blurriness around the edge of her vision returned as her eyes focused on the crash on the opposite side of the road.

The first, a truck, was only dented in the front. The hood was pushed back and had exposed the engine.

The second car, a minivan, was what made her knees go weak.

The left side of the car had been crumpled inward. The right side had crashed into the side of a building. The car barely even looked like a car anymore.

Windows were broken, some shattered. But the people inside were most likely injured closed to death or had died on impact already. And the blood on the scene. It was everywhere.

Her stomach turned into knots and Cassandra felt her lunch scratch and claw its way up her dry throat.

Before the accident she had never been good with anything bloody or gore, but ever since it had only gotten worse.

Her vision began to blur around the edges and everything began to become black. He world seemed to spin around her as if she was on a ride at an amusement park.

Her legs could no longer hold her up, she fell to her knees.

Her shoulders began to shake and her vision was blurring out even more, crawling in from the edges. Spots began to appear and she lost control of her breathing.

'Help. Someone, please help me!'

Cassandra was leaned back against the seat. Her hand was intertwined with Bryan as he used the other to steer. His eyes were glued on the road ahead as the two lovers listened to Christmas Music.

"Do we have any turkey left?" She asked as she turned her head from the view ahead of them to looked at him.

"We just had diner. Are you really still hungry?" He asked with a kidding smile.
