It was 7:45. Lenn's outfit was just a sando and jogging pants. And just in case, he inserted the mixtape inside his pocket. He hugged Abby, and kissed his mom.
Lenn's mom said, "Ingat, anak. (Be careful, Lenn)"
Lenn left the house and ran to Magnus' condominium. He thought about why Magnus wanted him to come there again. Did he want to tell him something? If so, then why didn't he do it yesterday? What did Magnus want?
Lenn fantasized the possibility of them being a couple. That would be nice, Lenn thought. They could hug each other, tell each other secrets, and kiss...
Lenn imagined what it would feel like kissing Magnus. His lips must have been warm. If he talked with such soft and kind words, then his lips must have tasted like chocolate or maybe even Vanilla. Lenn imagined Magnus getting closer toward him, implanting his lips on his. Could Life just give him that?
Magnus was basically Lenn's first friend. At the same time, Magnus was Lenn's first love.
Lenn saw Magnus in front of his condominium. Magnus was wearing a blue T-shirt and ripped jeans. Compared to what Lenn was wearing, Magnus definitely looked better.
Magnus saw Lenn, and he waved. Lenn waved too. Lenn approached closer.
Magnus said, "Hey, Lenn."
Lenn said, "Hey, Magnus. So why did you want me to come here?"
"I was wondering if you wanted to hang out?"
A hangout? Like as in they would go to a restaurant, and talk about stuff all day? Lenn wondered if there'd be other people in the "Hangout"
As a result, Lenn asked, "Who else is coming?"
"What? No one. Just the two of us."
Oh. Well, that was nice.
"Not even Valk?"
"Valk is sleeping. He doesn't wake up until noon. Plus if he was awake, he would most likely just stay on his phone all day. So yeah, it's just us."
Lenn feared of the awkwardness that would be in the atmosphere when two people were to hang out. Wouldn't it occur on Lenn and Magnus? Lenn was no one special to talk to, so why did Magnus want Lenn?
Magnus said, "Can we just explore this whole place? I never really got the time to take this place in ever since I moved here."
Lenn obliged.

They walked in a street Lenn passed all the time. It was the way to Lenn's home. Magnus didn't seem to care on where they were going, and Lenn just followed Magnus. Lenn constantly looked at Magnus from the back, and would shift his vision back at the road. This was what Lenn feared: the awkwardness. Lenn wanted to say something. Anything.
It was so quiet. The silence was somehow deafening.
Just when Lenn was about to open his mouth, Magnus said, "Hey. Let's race."
Lenn said, "Race?"
"Yeah-" Magnus pointed at a wire pole that was about a quarter-kilometer away. "Just until that wire thingy over there."
