The past two days have been very quiet, very lonely and full of anger. Brooklyn wasn't right when she left, she was off and it's beginning to scare me. The look in her eyes was tired, broken and full worry. I know with every fiber in my body that she didn't want to leave, but her job means more to her, no matter what has happened or been said. I text her any chance I get and I won't get a reply for two hours.
I know what is wrong and I'm becoming fed up.
"We need to talk." I text.
After I sent the text, I left the band behind to go to my room for a shower. I checked my phone after an hour and I still haven't received a message back. I sigh and continue back to getting ready for my shower. I thought of different ways this conversation would turn and how I would respond, but the waiting game made me that much more eager to get this off my chest.
As I tied up my Adidas, my phone text rang. I look over and see a short message. "I have nothing to say."
I finish tying my shoes before grabbing my phone and text back, "If you know what's good for you, you will talk to me."
Immediately a text came through. "What do you want?"
"Meet me."
"I don't have free time like you do. I have a job you know."
I laugh at the text before replying, "You will find a way to see me or else you won't have a job."
"I did what you wanted. We're done."
"I don't know what you are talking about." I lie.
"BEN's got their new store, its over. You have no reason to contact me."
"But I do." I text again, "I'm in Düsseldorf, Germany. Tomorrow I'll be in Munich. Text me when you get into town." I left to hotel with my concert bags and met up with Dre and the guys to prepare for tonight's show.
The next day I tried calling Brooklyn and still no answer, so I decide to leave a voicemail. "Hey baby. I don't know what's going on, or if there is something I did or didn't do... just please call me back. I miss you. I hope everything is going good with the fashion show. I hope to hear from you soon, I love you." I hang up as I see a message pop up. I grab my jacket, hat and keys before walking out to meet Dre.
"Where we goin' boss?"
"I have a meeting." I put the location on my phone, "Go here." We take off to a nearby park as I seen a bench to sit at. I walk over and sit as Dre stood by as I look at him, "Take a walk, but stay close by." He just nods and walks away as he keeps a sharp eye my way.
I look down at my phone as I seen the next text from Brooklyn, "I'm sorry I've been so busy. I have news to tell you, but it won't be till later. I'm on a quick lunch time. I love you Bru."
I felt so much better after reading this text, I felt more confident about this meeting. My baby will always come first, and I want to keep her happy.
I was cut off from texting her back at the sound of rocks rolling underneath footsteps that came to a halt behind me, "What is so important that you had me buy a fucking plane ticket out here? A phone call wasn't suffice?"
I turned to look in her eyes, "No. it isn't. But thank you for coming at your leisure. I'm sure it doesn't come to much of a cost since your boyfriend is a millionaire."
She crossed her arms and sucked on her teeth annoyingly, "I didn't have a choice. Remember?"
I nod. "Sure." I take a deep breath. "You're going to help me help Brooklyn and you're not going to tell her that we had this meeting."
