I just made it to Amsterdam to get ready and have a cigarette before I went onto stage. The crowds energy was flowing perfectly and although it was great, I felt like a piece of me was missing. She was missing... I miss her.
The morning after was quiet. I called and called her cell phone and nothing. Breakfast felt like a nightmare when all I could think about was Brooklyn hanging out with Tahli while he sits there and buys her a brand new store... A brand new store of all things! I text and I don't see any messages coming back. Noon is here and still haven't heard from her and my breakfast is unsettling in my stomach.
"What are you talking about? She wasn't looking at you." Kameron chuckles.
"She was definitely looking at me." Phil said proudly.
"Okay bro. We'll see next time she comes around."
Phil smacks his lips, "Brunz, you saw that right?"
"The curvy woman with the dark red hair?" I ask as I look at my phone for Brooklyn's text.
"No bro! Were you even looking?! Lawd help me!" Phil cried out loud.
"Although the dark red hair woman was.." Kam bit his lip before he started laughing. "But the curvy Lebanese goddess, long black hair, Carmel skin and dark brown eyes.. Damn I'm in love." Kameron rubbed his hands together.
I still wasn't paying much attention, "Sounds great." I say flatly because I only know one perfect woman I want in my life that I know for sure that I love who is absolutely beautiful. I would move mountains for her, I would kill for her, I want to devote my life to her. I just don't understand why she's not answering, or ignoring my calls.
"C'mon man, you wanna get some food?"
"No." I was so upset, I couldn't think of eating.
Everyone gasps. "You're not hungry?" Kam added. "Somethings wrong guys! Bruno's not hungry!"
I look away from my phone and to Kam, "Why does it always become a crisis when I'm not hungry?"
"Because you're always hungry." Everyone said at the same time as they all laughed together at me.
"No I'm not." I look back at my phone self consciously. "I don't even eat that much."
"You're lucky you dance and sweat all the bad stuff out. You'd be chubby Bruno." Phil laughed.
I quickly look down at my stomach and back up to him, "Let me tell Urbana about miss Lebanese."
He raises his hands, "I'm out." As he stood up and walked away as the guys laughed at him.
"Whipped!" Someone yelled out.
The day went on as I gave up texting and calling Brooklyn. We did sound check then left for a quick dinner, but the thought of her not getting ahold of me just made me feel sick and heartbroken. She was suppose to be here and all day she's been avoiding me. I don't know what else to call it if she hasn't picked up her phone or text me.
At dinner my phone started buzzing as I looked and seen an unknown number. I answered and waited for an answer but no one said anything. I hung up and seconds later, the same number called, "Who the fuck?" I spoke to myself as I tired to answer it again, "Hello?" I waited again and heard nothing. "Don't call this phone again." I said before hanging up.
"Who is it?" Phil chimes in.
I shrug, "I don't know. The number isn't in my contacts." I close out of the screen before putting it back into my pocket, I felt my phone buzz again. I looked at it and there was the same number staring right back at me. I shook my head and ignore the call.
