Hazel and Augustus got to Isaac's house fairly quickly. Hazel dried her tears, and they left. Her sniffles filled the silence looming between them.

Augustus opened the door to Isaac's house, and closed it again once the two of them were inside. Isaac was playing his blind video games when he abruptly threw his controller against the wall.

"Dammit!" he yelled. Isaac leaned over and let out a sob. Tears streaked his face, and he shook uncontrollably. "First Gus..." he mumbled to himself. "And now Hazel." Her name came out like a sort of cry.

Hazel walked over to him and sat down next to him. Augustus followed her example and sat on Isaac's other side.

"They left me," Isaac said.

Hazel gripped his hand even though he couldn't feel it. "We're right here." A tear slipped out of the corner of her eye. Hazel smiled at Isaac a bit. Her two best friends, right here, even now.

"They got lots of things to do up there," Isaac said with a sneaky smile growing on his face. Augustus laughed. He jumped up and made a huge gesture towards Isaac.

"EVEN NOW HE MOCKS MY LOVE LIFE!" Hazel toppled over in laughter. This was the Augustus she fell in love with, the one she would have an infinity with. Almost as if Isaac heard him, he started laughing.

"You did good buddy," Isaac praised him. Hazel smiled and let another tear slip out. Augustus looked towards Issac, then back at Hazel.

"I sure did."
