MEETING THE BOYS
"We're kids man, we get away with anything!" Jace cried, crossing his arms stubbornly.
Alex removed his hand from his chin and sighed, rolling his eyes in the process. He was mad, he was the oldest in the group and yet they all still listened to Jace.
"We are kids, but what if one of those Transformer things find us?" Chris piped up, as they continued their walk across a ruined stadium.
"We kill it." Jace said confidently with a smug smile plastered onto his face, as he lead the group of four into a tunnel that lead to the outside.
Ryan, being the most logical in the group groaned and facepalmed, earning a deadly glare from Jace.
"Do you have something to say Ryan?" Jace asked, stopping in his tracks and turning around.
"Just that you are a complete idiot. Not to mention asshole." Ryan shot back, matter-of-factly.
"Oh you did not-" Jace tackled Ryan to the ground, and the two rolled about in the dirt, groaning as they tried to get hits in on each other.
Alex, a wise 13 year old, bent down and seperated the two, while Jace tried to bite Ryan's arm off.
"Shutup! The both of you, we can't make any noise."
Chris stood back and watched, feeling tears prick his eyes. He took his attention off of the three other kids for a moment and looked up and around, realising they were entering the outskirts of Chicago. The burnt up buildings and collapsed skyscrapers were now all behind them.
"Ryan, stop being a smartass." Alex growled, still holding on to the two crazy kids out for each others blood.
Suddenly, Jace pushed both of the other boys them down onto the ground, seeing only red. Alex and Ryan toppled over and landed in a huge puddle of green liquid.
"I win." Jace smiled and tilted his head sharply.
Alex and Ryan made "ew" faces and got up slowly, the green liquid dripping off of their body in large clumps.
Chris walked up to the rest of them after clearing his tears, picking up Ryan's backpack and tossing it over to him. "Lets just keep moving and stop fighting?"
As they tracked further into the outskirts of Chicago, an eerie silence settled in among the group.
Jace held up his hand and signalled for his team to halt, earning a quick eye roll from Ryan.
It was too quiet. They were not alone.
The ground beneath their feet started to vibrate, and the kid's anxiety began to rise to an all time high.
"R-Ryan?! What is that?" Jace stuttured, keeping his eyes locked infront of him.
Alex didn't reply because he didn't have to.
A massive walker turned the corner and stopped, it's lasers pointed directly at Alex and Ryan.
"RUN!" Alex yelled, making his group of friends turn around, and started to run away from the metal walker.
The huge walker went after them, it's loud mechanical shifting telling the kids that it was catching up.
"E N E R G O N" The walker announced, still in pursuit.
Alex brought his hand to his face to examine the green liquid which was in fact, energon. The drone was attracted to it. He nearly tripped as he focused on his slimey hands.
"C Y B E R T R O N I A N O R G A N I S - M S S U R R E N D E R." It's loud robotic voice commanded.
The gears in Alex's head shifted, as he tried to piece the puzzle together. Suddenly, he finally understood.
This drone's job was to detect energon, and with energon means a Cybertronian. The walker's mission was to destroy transformers, no matter Autobot or Decepticon.
The boys ran for their lives, while a giant chicken walker chased after them.
