"I'm going back upstairs to finish the examination papers. Make sure they know how everything is supposed to go and they don't fuck it up, Shitty Glasses." Levi said as his short stature heading back up the stairs.

-TIME SKIP CUZ LAZINESS-

"Haaaaaannnjjjjiiiiii!" Eren complained. "When can we get breakfast?"

"When Levi comes back down saying you can." she responded while checking over [y/n] for the billionth time since we've been down here.

"Ugh, but that can be forever from now. We've been here, since, like five."

"And breakfast is at seven. It's about seven right now." she sighed. "If you promise not to tell anybody where we are, and why we aren't up there, then you can go." she said in a calm voice.

"Thanks Hanji!" Eren and Mikasa left, leaving me, Hanji, and [y/n]

"Armin, aren't you going with them?" she questioned.

"Well I didn't know if you were talking to them or all of us or..." I started mumbling as my face grew warm.

Hanji let out a small laugh. "How about this. Go upstairs, eat with your friends and when you're done, bring some tea for me, and some bread and water for [y/n] for when she wakes up."

"Yes ma'am." I said while pretty much jumping out of my seat, which caused Hanji to laugh. I walked up the stairs and over to the loud dining hall.

I picked up a tray and walked over to the food line. I grabbed what looked like oatmeal, an apple, and a muffin. While doing this I couldn't help but listen to the conversation at the table behind me.

"Did you guys hear about last night?"

I felt my blood run cold. Nobody was supposed to know besides a few cadets along with Hanji and Levi, let alone the higher ups.

"No, what?"

"Well from the rumors I've heard, one of the cadets tried to cut open Squad Leader Hanji's titan subjects to prove her long-dead Garrison or Scout sibling was inside of one of them."

"Has anybody said who?"

"Most people are saying [y/n] [l/n] from the 104th, but when I asked Captain, he didn't say anything and acted as if I was making it up."

"I always thought that bitch was psycho."

"What do you mean?"

"Have you ever noticed how happy she always is despite her past? Nobody else here is like that. The people who lost direct family here don't act like that. She's something else."

That was the last thing I heard. I didn't want to hear anything else. None of what they said was true. I barely stopped myself from slamming my tray of food onto the table when I sat down on Eren's left.

"Everything okay, Armin?" Jean asked from across the table.

"I'm not sure anymore."

Breakfast went on as normal for those who didn't know about the events of last night.

Just as I was about to finish my food, I felt somebody standing behind me.

"The hell are you three doing here?" Levi scoffed.

"Hanji let us come here to get something as to not let us starve while doing our 'job'." he said while using air quotes as he said "job".

"Last I checked Jaeger, my rank means my orders go over Shitty Glasses' orders." he sighed while pinching the bridge of his nose. "I don't care if you take your food or not but just go."

We nodded, but before Levi left I whispered to him, "Hanji gave me orders to bring her tea and [y/n] something as well if she wakes up soon. Can I grab something for them?"

"Do what you must and get back there." he turned and left.

"Yes, Sir." I responded. I grabbed my tray and brought it back to the food line.

I grabbed tea for six people: me, Hanji, [y/n], Eren, Mikasa, and Levi. I also grabbed a bowl of fruit, and some water. I was about to walk out of the dining hall when Reiner grabbed my arm.

"I messed up badly didn't I? I didn't mean to hurt [y/n], and now she isn't waking up, and now you must hate me because I hit your crush." My face heated up again as I placed my tray down on the table.

"N-no Reiner, it's fine. You got her stabilized, and it's only been two hours!"

"Wait." Sasha started. She had a grin on her face and I knew it wasn't going to be good. "Armin likes [y/n]?"

"SASHA!" I said embarrassed as I covered my face with my hands.

"He's not denying it."

"JEAN!"

"We're gonna get you two together now, I hope you know that, coconut." Ymir said bluntly.

"Get them on a date!" Krista joined in.

"UGH!" I ran out of the dining hall, tray of food back in hand.

"[SHIP NAME]!" was what they waid in unison as I left.

After mindlessly roaming around the castle for a while, I walked back into the basement calling out Hanji's name as I descended the staircase. But to my surprise, I didn't get a response. All I heard was the slight sound of chains moving.

As I got to the bottom of the stairs, I was able to look into the cell. What I saw was [y/n] rolling around and mumbling words that I couldn't understand, but sounded like "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you." and "It's my fault you're gone."

"[y/n]?" I walked up to the bed, while setting the tray of food on one of the chairs.

"[y/n]! Wake up!" I said shaking her to get her out of the nightmare.

She opened her eyes and sat up, breathing heavily, and looked at me while crying.

"I'm sorry." was all she said before hugging me tightly, as if I was going to leave her if she didn't hold onto me.

I hugged her back, just as tight while rubbing her back to help calm her down.

-Normal POV-

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." you cried into his shoulder as he brought you closer. Just listening and being able to feel his heartbeat was able to calm you down.

"Shhh... just relax. Everything is okay. Got that?" He pulled you away so he could look into your eyes, while cupping your cheeks and wiping tears away with his thumbs.

"Aren't you mad at me? Won't I be punished? Everyone will think I'm a psychotic lunatic that's just wishing for death. Nobody will talk to me and Erwin will kick me out of the Corps and I'll have to live with my father and-" you were cut off by Armin putting his finger on your lips.

"None of that will happen. Yes, you might get a few strange looks from the higher ups but they don't know what you were going through." as soon as he said that, the sound of the basement door opening echoed throughout the basement, followed by the voices of none other than Hanji and Levi.
