Chapter 4

~ The Next Morning ~

"Mun, Have you seen my phone?!" I ask getting ready to go to my job. "Yeah! I have it!" She says. "Wae?!" I ask running down the stairs. "Because I decided that if you won't send the first text, I'll send it for you." She says handing my phone to me. I give her my death stare. "Do you want me to kill you?!" I ask. She giggles a little bit. "No." She says. I look at my phone. "I'll deal with this when I get back." I say and put my phone in my pocket. I grab my keys and walk out the door. "When you leave later don't forget to lock my door." I say and close it. I put my jacket on and start walking to my job. My phone vibrates in my pocket. I take it out and look at it. He actually answered.

'Annyeonghaseyo!! How's your morning been so far?' I sigh a little bit. I stare at my keyboard for a few minutes. I accidentally run into someone. "Eommaya! Mianhae!" I say and keep walking. I look at the time on my phone. "I'm gonna be late..." I mumble to myself. I put my phone in my pocket and take off running. I'll answer him when I get there. I walk in the Cafe hoping that my boss wouldn't notice. But Since he hates me he notices. "Why are you so late?!" He yells. "I overslept and I have to walk to work. I live really far away." I answer. "Stop making up excuses! And just start working!" He yells. "Mianhae, It wont happen again..." I say and walk behind the counter. I stand at my spot and lean against the wall. I take out my phone. I want to tell him it's been fine, But I don't like lying to people. 'Terrible.' I answer him and sit my phone beside the register.

I sit on the stool next to to my register and watch the door. My phone vibrates again. I pick it up and look at it.

Jimin: Oh, What happened?

Me: I got yelled at by my boss for being 5 minutes late to work. But It's not my fault. I overslept, I don't have a car so I have to walk. And I live kinda far away.

Jimin: I'm Sorry.

Me: Don't be. It's not like it's your fault. I just wish someone would treat him the way he treats me so he knows how it feels.

Jimin: 😩

'Great Job Su-Jin You made him feel bad for you!' I yell to myself in my head. I stare back at the door not wanting to answer. I hate it when people feel bad for me. It makes me feel helpless. I sit there and wait. He sends me another text.

Jimin: Hey, Jin and J-Hope are going to the cafe they first met you at. Would you want me to come with them?

Me: Yeah. Go Ahead.

I think for a minute. I mean it can't hurt I wont be completely bored. He doesn't answer. I rest my elbows on the counter and my chin on my hands. We never get many people in the morning. I stick my headphones in. I started listening to a few songs of theirs I heard at the concert. They're actually not that bad. I sit back against the wall. I sit there and listen. I ignore my boss as he yells random stuff. I sit like this until someone comes in. I pause my music and stand up. "What can I get you?" I ask. The girl looks around and chooses something. I get it for her and give it to her. "Kahasamnida! Enjoy!" I say and sit back down.

~ A Little While Later ~

I was watching the door waiting for them to finally get here. I've never been excited to see people. But I feel like I connected With J-Hope and Jin, But mostly with J-Hope. I sit up when they walk in. They walk over to the counter. "Annyeonghaseyo!" Jin says. I take my headphones out and stand up. I look at the clock. "Yes!" I say quietly to myself. "What?" J-Hope asks. "It's time for my break. So I get to come sit with you." I say. Jin nods a little. "But first can we have something to eat? I'm really hungry." He says. "When are you not hungry?" Jimin asks. "When I'm sleeping." Jin answers. I smile "Yeah sure." I say and take their orders. They go and find a table. They sit in a booth. I bring them their food and then sit down next to Jimin. Because J-Hope and Jin took up the other two seats. I know they did that on purpose. "How long is your break?" Jin asks. "Umm, About 15 minutes." I say. He nods and starts eating. "So. We were thinking about how you said you would like to find your family." J-Hope says. I nod a little bit.

He starts to say something else But my boss interrupts him. "Su-Jin! What are you doing?!" He asks. I sigh and place my hand on my forehead. "I'm on my break!" I yell back at him. "Wae?!" He asks. "Because its time for my break!!" I say. "Well Get back to work!" He yells. I sigh and start to stand up. I cant lose this job, I wont have any way to pay for anything. "Why does she have to go back to work? There's no one here." Jimin says. I look at him and then back at my boss. "There's no point in her working when the place is empty." He says. My boss stares at him and then walks away. I look at Jimin. "Kahasamnida." I say. He smiles. "Okay. Anyway." J-Hope starts again. "We decided that we would help you do that." He says. My eyes widen a little bit. "Jinja?!" I ask. They nod. I feel like I could cry right now, I smile widely. Just as I started to smile Mun walks in with Taehyung. "Uwa!!! What did you do?! She's smiling!!" She says. "She hasn't smile this big in years!!" She says pushing herself beside me, Which pushes me closer to Jimin. But right now I don't really care. I'm just really happy.

"Mun! They're gonna let me find my family!" I say. She looks at them then back at me. "That's great!!" She says and hugs me. Usually I would just stand there awkwardly but this time I hug back. They all smile. Taehyung snaps a picture of us. "Come on sit down!" Mun says to after letting go of me. He sits next to her pushing us over. I get squished between Mun and Jimin. "Ahh!" Jimin yells. I look at him. He was squished between me and the wall. "I can't breathe!!" He yells. I giggle a little bit and push Mun over a bit. She ends up pushing Taehyung who falls off the seat and into the floor. I start laughing. Taehyung stands up. He pushes us over but Mun stays closer to him so we don't squish Jimin again.

Mun covers my mouth trying to stop me from laughing. I stop and also bite her hand. She pulls it away really fast. She also ends up smacking Taehyung in the face. "Ow!" He says. "Eommaya!!" She says and looks at him. I giggle and sit back. I look at Jin and J-Hope. "We'll be going in 2 days. " Jin says. I nod. " Kahasamnida!!" I say. He smiles. "Your Welcome!" He says.

'Don't start trusting them Su-Jin. You know if you do You'll just get let down again.' I say to myself in my head.
