29. Rescue mission

Killians pov

When Gabriel finally arrived I was pacing around my entry hall thinking of all the things that bloosucker could be doing to her. Could she already be dead? No, don't think of that, she couldn't be. He came through my door at the exact time we had decided on her I was angry that he had not been there sooner. I was letting my stress get to me and I had to stop. I needed my head in the game to get Nova out.

Gabriel didn't seem affected by my angry mood as we both walked outside. He had six other angels standing outside including the blonde coward who had tried to take Nova back to heaven before. At Gabriel's command the angels spread their wings in unison and took off already knowing the drill. The archangel turned to me,"are you ready?"

I nodded me head stiffly and he unfolded his wings. I looked at him like he was crazy. "There is no way we are spending that much time getting there"

I ignored the confused expression on his face as I grabbed his lower arm and teleported us both so that we were standing only a quarter of a mile off from Severus's mansion. He quickly shook off his surprise at the ability he did not know I had before. We both headed off to the house careful of being quiet so that we wouldn't attract any unneeded attention. When we finally reached the house the other angels had not yet arrived but there was no way ai was waiting for them. We ducked into the house through an unlocked window.

This was far to easy, I knew it was a trap but I didn't care. I was going to get back my fallen angel. We had just passed our second corridor when we heard a scream and a shout. I immediately started running towards the sound Gabriel got on my heels. Just as I passed a corner getting closer to the sound I nearly ran into the she-demon who had helped to kidnap Nova.

"Ahhh, king Killian, how lovely to see you"

I growled on in response but Gabriel cut me off, placing an arm between me and the other demon."I'll handle this, go find Nova"

I nodded in response and started running, barely getting past the sick creature. She had been to distracted by the glimmering blade Gabriel was pulling from his waist. Those blades were the only thing that could truly kill a demon. Even I shivered at the glimpse of the sword.

I continued searching for the place I had heard the about come from.

Nova's pov

I screamed for help and shouted at him to back away. I had woken moments before to find him in front of me. Severus had scared me half to death when I had opened my eyes to find myself in the disgusting cellar all that had happened rushing back to me.

He laughed at my fear as he continues approaching me. Slowly and steadily he stalked toward me like a lion hunting it's prey. I knew he was messing with my mind but I couldn't help but fear the moment he would pounce.

"Aren't you having fun princess? I thought you would like your new suite"

I shook my head and backed even farther into the wall. My body ached and my head rang with the movement.

"Aww, well I guess that's to bad" that was it, he pounced and pinned my to the slimy wall as I struggled to get loose of his grip.

"let's see how the king of demons copes when he loses his one true love" he pouted though it only made him look more crazy,"he'll probably go insane"

"Just like you?" I spat in his face and He hissed at me.

"How dare you, I will savor the feeling of killing you"

His fangs pierced the skin at my neck, but he took no more than a drop of blood when I felt the heat crawling up my spine. This time I barely recognized it for what it was by the time it reached my neck where Severus was latched onto me. As the sizzling reached his fangs he drew back as if he had been burned. His fangs were slowly turning black and He clutched at the area where his heart should be though I knew he no longer had one.

"What did you do?!" He screeched at me through his pain. But my ravoka was not yet finished. I saw him appear on my shoulder though this time he was much bigger. As he jumped from his perch he gained more solidity than before.

How dare you interfere, bloodsssucker

With that the dragonlike creature attacked him. Ripping out his throat and mauling his body. By the time he was finished I was sure that even with his immortal abilities, my attacker must be dead. I squeaked in fear as the dragon turned back to me. He didn't bother saying anything else but instead leaped straight into me evaporating into my skin. I pulled up my grimy shirt to see the tattoo back in its place at my hip. Letting the shirt loose I turned back toward the mangled body afraid to move an inch.

Only moments later Killian burst through the cellar door. He looked ready to attack but as he took in the scene his eyes widened in surprise."did...did you do this?"

I couldn't move or speak as I stared up at him. Instead of waiting for my answer he came to me and pulled me into his arms. "I'm so sorry, Nova. I never should have left you alone"

He picked me up bridal style and carried me up the stairs into the first floor of the mansion. We then came to a room and I saw archangel Gabriel with a sword at the throat of Arachne. Other angels were there swords drawn looking as if they had only just arrived. Rowan was among them but I looked away fearing the guilt he would see in my eyes.

With a command from Gabriel the other angels surrounded Arachne as Gabriel made his way over to us. He took my hand in his own and looked into my eyes with a firm nod,"I'm glad that you are safe, Nova."

After Gabriel let go of my hand Killian took a step back. After a look shared between them that confused me Killian and I dissappeared from the scene.

We zipped back into place in my bedroom. He moved to the bed and placed me in it. With that he kissed my forehead and left the room. The entire time his face showed no emotion. I fell asleep with worry sinking into my heart but relief lifting from my mind now that I was back home to stay.
