Bleak.

That's all it was.

No sound came to pass.

Not even the shrieks of those around them as the creature tore off their limbs and let their blood splurge onto the floor.

Crimson upon crimson waves of the thick liquid crashed onto the floor, staining everything while freshly disembodied limbs and heads littered every inch of the place.

The malevolent cause of this gorey travesty then turned its eye and made to advance when--

"Ahh!" Ciella sat up in a dizzy array of emotion, panting in cold sweat until realizing she was not in any danger.

She was in her room. Such as she was every night for the past two years since she and Ciel had been freed.

And what a crazy two years it had been. She still remembered it all so vividly.

She and Ciel had been brought back from the dead, figuratively speaking. They had left the underground prison thanks to their newfound ally, the creature from below. After having vanquished their long time enemies and making a deal with Ciel, the creature had taken on a human form.

One that was knocking at her door at that very moment. "Mistress? Mistress?" Came a concerned voice from outside her bedroom door.

Though still dazed, Ciella managed to mumble permission for the voice's owner to enter.

The door handle clicked open at her command and a candle followed by a tall, lean male entered her chambers. Though the light was dim, she still knew who it was. "Se-Sebastian."

The fair skinned male stood before her then set down his candle and knelt by her side. His deep ruby eyes shone brightly with worry despite the surrounding darkness.

Her sapphire eyes looked over at the butler, her arms holding her shivering frame, her hands gripping her blanket. Those ruby eyes continued to look at her with diminishing concern.

"Was it another nightmare?" He asked her in a soft voice so as not to startle her.

Ciella bit her lip, turning her gaze away as she nodded. "I-it's the same nightmare...over and over." She muttered in a shaky voice.

Sebastian sighed, shaking his head full of ebony tresses as he went to reach for her hand but saw her flinch in fear. It seemed that even to this day, Ciella was frightened of every little thing that came her way. All because of those degenerate ruffians (if you could call them such).

"Shall I bring you some milk tea, Mistress?" He asked, standing up from his kneeling position. It was the same routine every week or so. Come in, console the human, offer her milk then leave. Quite mundane but essential for her sanity. Oh, he strove to be patient with her, but it was quite difficult to do so when she was afraid of her own shadow.

Nibbling on her lip even more, Ciella shook her head. "Leave me for now, please, Sebastian." She said, though her voice was barley above a whisper.

Letting out another wispy sigh, Sebastian bowed, his hand over his heart. "Very well. Try to get some sleep, Mistress." And with that, he picked up his candle and left her room, closing the door behind him.

Come morning, the twins were up and dressed, enjoying breakfast in their lavish dining room. Ciel sat at the head of the table, per usual. Ciella entered the room and sat to his left. She looked over to Ciel and whispered a soft greeting though she knew he wouldn't hear.

Sebastian sauntered in bringing with him his silver treat cart filled with all kinds of delicaies. The sight of it all made Ciella's mouth water.

Breakfast was then served. Soft freshly baked biscuits and handmade jam with a helping of their favorite tea, Earl Grey, was laid out in front of them. Ciel set down the paper he was reading to sip his tea though his gaze didn't divert from reading.
