The car came to a stop and the engine sputtered to a stop. I opened the door and jumped onto the hood of the car and relaxed, my back lying against the windscreen.I felt the car rock slightly as Natsu jumped out of the car and sat next to me. I avoided looking at him, my face was already red enough. The lights all across Magnolia started shutting off, letting the stars shine to their fullest. They twinkled ever so slightly, to the point where if you weren't paying full attention, you would miss it. The moon was as full as I had ever seen, it shone brightly down on the town under it. It illuminated the clouds that rolled past it, giving them a literal silver lining.
The temperature had dropped significantly since the sun went down, leaving a crisp feeling in the air. My breaths swirled around me in white clouds, before floating up and disappearing into the sky above me.
I turned my head towards Natsu, he was looking up at the sky with as much as awe as me.
"It's beautiful, isn't it," he muttered, turning towards me.
"Yeah, the stars are amazing" I said.
"I wasn't talking about the sky," he winked at me and laughed at the shock on my face. "Just kidding," he laughed and punched my shoulder.
"You are the literal worst!" I laughed and shoved him back.
"I think you're confusing me for you," he responded, before I could come up with some kind of response I heard a car pull up so I shoved Natsu off the car and jumped off.
"What was that fo-"
I covered his mouth with my hand and signaled for him to keep his mouth shut.
I poked my head over the car's bonnet to see what I had thought, Juvia just arrived with her date. She had curled her hair and had put on her best dress, she looked beautiful. Her date was wearing a tux... damn it. I was hoping he was going to wear a singlet or a tank top.
"Juvia just got here, what is our plan?" I asked, removing my hand from his mouth.
"Okay we have a few options... One, you pretend to be his girlfriend and yell at him for cheating, Juvia may recognize you so I have a wig in the bac-"
"Why do you have a wig in your car?"
"I stole it from Erza on the way here, I thought it may be helpful if we wanted to be ninjas," he said. He was acting like a little kid and even had the thought of being a ninja. "Two, I set fir-"
"No. No setting fire to cars," I cut him off before he got any further into his ridiculous scheme.
"Fiinnee, it would have been amazing though," he groaned.
"What if we just let them have their date and work something out as we go along?" I explained to him.
"Fine, but wear the wig," he smiled...
I don't even want to know.
"Why?"
"She'll instantly recognize your red streaks," he said, grabbing a little bit of my hair and running it through his fingers.
"And she won't recognize yours?" I said, raising an eyebrow at him.
"I thought about that, so!" He reached behind him and pulled out another wig...
No.
"We are not disguising ourselves!" I whisper yelled at him.
"Plleeeaasseeeee!!" He said, looking at me with a small pout.
