.:Chapter 38:. Zombies?

A/n: Minasan, I just scanned my chappies and saw that chapter 23 was the second part of chapter 21. Just act like chapter 22 is a flashback. Also chapter 22 was supposed to be chapter 21. Also the picture is Venice's scythe. Anyways, dat' b be all, enjoy

Ruby's POV

I groaned as I walked down the empty street with Elcia, Lena, Loraine, Venice, and Denise. Shiray and Faye was at the main clinic, restoring their health up. They got damaged up while in a fight, they were mostly out numbered. They also used too much magic.

"Seriously? Why of all the places, a city?" Lena asked as she pulled her hood down to her eyes. I grinned as I walked up behind her and said "How are you holding up, couz?".

(Idk if dat was da right spelling.)

She looked up and glared at me which I smiled at. So cute. "I hate it!" She said as her voice echoed through. Elcia quickly covered her mouth as a figure walked down the street, wobbling lie a drunk person. "Don't make a sound." She whispered as she looked at us. She carefully unseathed her sword as she started walking down the streets quietly.

We just followed her movements as we came closer to the figure. We cringed at the sight of it as we came close to it. It has a scratched up face, an eyeball out of place, skin off, maggots. . . Torn clothes. We hid behind a wrecked car as it was just a few steps in front of us.

(Idk why I make useless things XD)

As it was walking closer, Elcia quickly stood up and sliced it's head of neatly as she stepped on the head while sticking the sword in. She just seathed her sword and walked forwards. "What the actual Hades was that?!" Venice asked as she was flailing her arms. Lena was holding onto Elcia's arm. "Let's just call 'em zombies, okay?" She said a she looked at us.

"Zombies?! Yes!" She said as she raised her fist up. "Venice, you might attract more, you still don't have your scythe yet." Denise said. "Nuh uh, I have it!" She said as she held her hand out and purple flames came to view, forming a pole. It was a curved pole with the blade separated from the actual pole. Some gems decorated the scythe. Mostly it is purple and black. The top blade is black while the bottom is purple.

The pole was black as the gems were purple. Venice twirled the scythe as it was followed by purple flames. Venice grinned at us. "Cool!" I yelled as Elcia glared daggers at me. I quicky zipped my mouth.

The scythe disappeared as it was replaced by purple flames.

We then walked towards a house as we stopped at the front, Elcia made us stand behind her as she grabbed her pistol and tapped the door frame. Groaning was heard as another "zombie" came out as Elcia shot it.

Elcia then went in first as she tried to stay as quiet as she can. She opened a door and checked as she walked in. After we went in, Loraine closed the door shut as Elcia tried to find something.

"What are you trying to find?" I asked as I sat down the bed. "A scroll and a book. Also don't sit there, you might get sick." She said as I bolted up. We then helped Elcia find these things as I grabbed a thing rolled in red. "You've found it, good." Elcia said as she grabbed it out of my grasp.

Denise then pulled out a dusty book, engraved with the words that I couldn't understand. Denise just kept it in her backpack as Elcia did the same with the scroll.

Then, something was banging the door, and whatever it is. . . Or they, they ain't just one. We looked for any possible escape routes and looked at the window. Elcia opened the window and jumped out as we all did. Loraine was the last one when the door broke down. She quickly jumped off as Elcia slammed down the window.

We then ran for our lives, avoiding anymore of them.

I was said to just go anywhere and just went to Lucas. When I opened the door, I saw him reading a book. He looked at me and smiled. I walked towards him and gave him a kiss.

He then hugged me. "I've missed you." He said as he whispered these words into my ear as I blushed at his words.

I yawned as he lets go of and I lay down, my head on his lap. I then closed my eyes as sleep took over.

Faye's POV

Shiray and I were called into the headmaster's office after we recovered our health. We sat down onto the couches as Elcia and Denise placed a scroll and a book down in front of lady Emily and Elder Rhea.

They sighed. "Children, we have called you here because of Veronica. As you all know, we still haven't found the spy. Though, we might as well be ready for this fight. I want you to protect Ruby, don't let her go out of control." Elder Rhea said with a stern voice as Lady Emily picked the book up and brushed her fingertips over it.

"This book shall be useful when she's out of control. It's also fatal to her. . . This scroll and this book can capture her magic. We sent you to get these so that we can prevent them from getting her magic." Lady Emily said.

"Though, only some know this language." She looked at Elcia and Denise, hoping that they know it. They just gave a small nod as Lady Emily placed them down.

"I suppose that you will do your best in doing these, I hope that nothing bad happens. I really have enjoyed your company, children." Elder Rhea said as ger eyes glistened as if she were to cry.

We just gave a small nod and forced a smile, they knew that we were sad. Sad of dying. Scratch that, scared. Elcia wasn't, she wanted to die long ago. I looked at Elcia as she had a blank expression.

"Dismissed."

Elcia was the first to stand up as she walked out. We followed her Denise was calling her attention with no luck. "It's okay guys, she'll get a hang of it." Loraine said. "I know that she doesn't want to die." I said as they looked at me.

"She doesn't want to loose the friends that she made. She doesn't want to make us feel sad. . . She doesn't want us to feel what she felt when she lost them. I know that Ruby feels the same. . . Hiding those tears behind a smile." I said as I looked at my feet.

"Junipher knows the future, he knows what'll happen." Venice said. "I think that it isn't her that she's worried about. It's Ruby, Elcia said before that Ruby would get separated." Denise said as she stared at the empty hallways.

"Possibly. . . That may be true." I said as I looked outside the windows.
