"Last one in the lake has to go on a date with Marcus!" James shouted while we were all running down the hill. The seven of us have done this every year since our parents decided we were old enough to swim alone, without parental supervision.
"Mya you better hurry up!" Tanya shouted, I squealed while trying to tie my bikini, run down the hill and doge the trees.
I ran onto the old dock, and jumped. I landed in the warm water with a very big splash, and when I was fully submerged I swam around until something wrapped around my ankle, I pulled on it until I broke free. And at this point I was pretty out of breath so I went up for air, but the closer I got to the surface the colder it got.
Once I got to the top I gasped for air, but the lush green grass I had run through just moments ago was no longer there, neither were the leafy trees. They were bare and the grass was dead and covered with a thin layer of snow, I looked around and even yelled for my friends, but they were gone. I got out of the lake looking for where I threw my towel, but it to was gone.
"Okay guys, this isn't funny! Like at all.... Guys!" I yelled but again, no one answered. I shivered and started to walk up the hill, but not before I noticed a little white cross sticking out of the earth. I picked it off and hit it against a tree to get the snow off, I turned it around, and threw it back down in horror. On it in purple letters said.
