*Doctor's POV*

"You said she would come back!" the Doctor roared. It had been hours since they had lost contact with Chris and he had frantically tried to reach her in any way possible, but to no avail. He was now pacing frantically, angry with River for lying to him and angry at himself for not seeing through the deceit.

"It was the only way to get you to agree," River replied softly. The Doctor stopped moving to glare at her and before beginning to pace yet again.

He then rounded onto Amy and Rory. "Why did you let her leave?" he demanded.

"There was no way we could stop her without revealing who we were," Rory said softly, clearly also upset about losing the teen. The Doctor didn't care about Rory's feelings at that moment, he was too frustrated.

"Well you should've revealed yourself!" He answered rather waspishly.

"If we did you would have three people to save instead of one!" Amy snapped, "Why are you getting so worked up?"

The Doctor stopped pacing again to look at the floor in a sad recollection. He didn't answer Amy right away but when he did, it was in a soft, diminished tone.

"Chris reminds me of someone I knew on Gallifrey," the Doctor admitted.

"Who?" Amy asked curiously.

The Doctor sighed and shook his head, "It doesn't really matter, Christy can't be her. She died on Gallifrey, just like everyone else."

"Oooooooooh mysterious," Amy cooed, "Did you fancy her, Doctor?"

"What?" The Doctor's head snapped up, looking slightly sickened, "No! Why would I fancy my -" the Doctor trailed off as vibrant memories flashed before his eyes. He shook the memories away and began to pace again.

Out of the corner of his eye, the Doctor saw River walk to Amy and whisper the answer to her inquiries in her ear. Amy looked a little shocked as she pointed to the Doctor. "Him? He was an ol-" Amy began as River nodded.

"I'm going after her," the Doctor said suddenly, interrupting Amy. Everyone immediately looked tobtge Doctor.

"What?" Rory said, "Without a plan?"

"Since when do I ever have a plan?" the Doctor called as he walked out the door of the group's 'HQ.' He may not have had a plan, but he was determined to get Christy back one way or another. After all, he couldn't just leave someone in danger.

"Wait!" Amy shouted. The Doctor could hear the thuds of footfalls that revealed Amy was running out the door to catch up with him.

"We're coming to help!" River said as she walked beside the Doctor.

"No, it might be dangerous." the Doctor objected, shaking his head.

"That's exactly why we're coming," River replied with her signature smile.

*CHRIS' POV*

In response to bright lights, my eyes blinked open. I sat up with a groan, rubbing a goose egg that was forming on the back of my head. When I looked at my arm, I realized it was normal-looking again and didn't have the faint dark coloring anymore. Suddenly, I realized I wasn't alone and looked to see tgat a little girl was staring at me.

"Lady?" she whispered in a frightened voice, "Are you awake? We need to leave!"

"Who are you?" I mumbled, my head still aching slightly, "What are you doing here?"

"I'm Mckenna, and I'm not sure. I'm hiding from the monsters!" the little girl (who looked about 6) said.

Every child, teenager, and adult except us and Christy are being controlled by Zegoraths, the Doctor's voice echoed in my mind. That obviously meant she was being controlled too.

I smirked. "Nice disguise. How'd you manage it?"

Mckenna gave me a confused look, tilting her head, "Manage what?"

"Oh, don't give me that act! You're obviously an important Zegorath host who's master has disguised the effects of the transformation," I sighed.

Mckenna smirked this time. It was highly unsettling. "Nope, wrong! I'm human. Nice idea, though. But, you should know, I control all Zegoraths!" she said in an important voice as she puffed out her chest.

"How?"

"Oh, that's easy. I care for their Master Zeg, and in return I get control of the Earth when the Zegorath's get the Doctor's T.A.R.D.I.S. and take control of Gallifrey," she replied with a wicked grin as she absentmindedly stroked a large Zegorath.

"Why would a little kid want world domination?" I asked, "When I was you age, the only things I worried about was- actually, I don't really remember what I did at your age," I spoke, placing a finger to my lips, "Oops, oh well. Never mind that last part. Just answer my question."

"I have my reasons," she grinned, "Guess you could say I'm aiming high."

"Are you getting all this Doctor?" I muttered to where I hoped the mike still was.

"Don't even try, we took your earpiece and mike before you woke up," McKenna scoffed.

"And you're what? Seven?" I asked, still on the previous topic.

"Eight." she replies with a proud air about her.

"Nice, I'm being kinapped by an eight year old megalomaniac. If you have all this figured out, why do you need me then?" I asked.

"As bait."

"For?" I asked gesturing for the little girl to elaborate.

"The Doctor obviously. Who else would we need?" Mckenna snapped.

"Why me? Why not someone he's really close to? Like Amy?"

"Oh, no one's closer to him than you." Mckenna said in a sing-song voice.

"How? We just met." I asked with a confused look. As of in response to everything, I felt a weird feeling in my gut; it felt as if a memory was forming just out of reach in my mind.

Before Mckenna could do more than give me an all-knowing look there was a huge BOOM! and the roof shook.

The door fell and four silhouettes appeared. "Was that really necessary?" one asked in a voice I've come to recognize. It was the voice of the Doctor, who sounded rather tired. Possibly of whoever blew the door off's shenanigans.

"Just making an entrance, sweetie," another voice said flirtatiously.

"Who are you?" Mckenna screeched. "What are you doing here?!"

A tall figure with brown hair, suspenders and a red bowtie stepped out of the dust to show his mischievious smile. "We're here to rescue Christy. And as for who I am. I'm known by many names. The Oncoming Storm, The Bringer of Justice, etcetera, etcetera."

"I've never heard of such names," McKena snorted.

The Doctor smiled as if he had already won. "Oh, we've only just met," he spoke in a cocky tone, "Hello, I'm the Doctor."

Wotcher!

Sorry this took so long, I've had writer's block for a while. Anyways, what did Mckenna mean?

How will they get out of this mess?

Oh, and TardisNerdyNerd got half the answer right on my challenge (another person waas half right too, but TardisNerdyNerd answered first so I guess I have two winners so congratulations to sooty30 too!)

TardisNerdyNerd and sooty30 will have to give me ideas for a prize for getting this right (I checked, I never told you about that while I was coming up with ideas) so you can either comment below or PM me.

Oh and can I please get feedback this chapter instead of just variations of 'I love this update now' because there has to be something I can add/fix to improve this story.
