Chapter 8
Nakaalis na si Keena papuntang New York. Maaga uling pumasok ang magkaibigan kinabukasan. Kailangan kasi nilang maghanda sa pagdating ng bago nilang 'boss'.
"Hi Myra." bati ni Yonah dito.
"Ang aga-aga mo naman akala namin kami na ang maaga." sabi ni Drian.
"Naka-received kasi ako ng text galing kay Ms.Keena na maglilipat na raw ang bagong boss natin ngayong umaga. Kaya kahit ayoko pa pumasok e napilitan na ko." paliwanag ni Myra.
Natapos na ang paglilipat ng gamit sa opisina ni Keena. Pero wala pa rin silang clue kung sino ang papalit sa mabait na boss nila. Naghintay sila hanggang sumapit ang alas-dies ng umaga. Nagulat sila sa kung sino ang dumating sa kanilang opisina...Si Mr.Keos Nikolai Amorsolo!
"Good morning, Sir." bati nina Drian at Myra.
Hindi nagawang bumati ni Yonah dahil natulala siya at hindi siya makapaniwala na magiging 'boss' na niya si pogi.
"Aren't you going to greet me Ms.Madrigal?" sarkastikong tanong ni Keos.
"S-sorry, Sir. G-ood morning!" natatarantang bati ni Yonah.
"Ok. All of you, in my office now." may diing sabi ni Keos.
Nagkatinginan silang tatlo. Nagkakaintindihan ang tingin nila na pakiramdam nila ay nagalit ang bago nilang amo. Pumasok na sila sa office ni Keos at umupo sa meeting table nito.
"Ladies, I was summoned by Keena to take over her place for a month. I accepted the job for two reasons I guess. First, I am quite familiar with the whole HR operations and the HR department. Second, Keena told me that all of you are responsible to this field and will not give me a hard time in every aspect of work." mahabang litanya ni Keos.
Ngumiti at tumango lang sila tanda ng pagkakaintindi sa sinabi ng lalaki.
"I heard that Ms.Lee will be responsible for the general assessment of the employees. I recommend that you meet the managers of each department and go over the whole assessment itself." advice ni Keos.
"I'll do that, Sir." si Myra.
"Ms.Barzaga, you are in-charge of the hiring of applicants. I suggest that you post different schedule of screening, interviews, and pre-employment activities. Don't over do it. Make sure that you give enough time for each step. You can also invite people from Empire. Just prepare the letter and I'll sign it." si Keos.
"Noted, Sir." si Drian.
"And Ms.Madrigal, you were assigned to all the indoor and outdoor meetings and activities. Sounds good and easy but I think this is the most stressful work load. Keena have too much trust on you to put you into this position." napapabilib na sabi ni Keos.
"I cannot give advice to you. Because I don't think you need it right now. We'll be working hand-in-hand to fulfill our duties in this office." patuloy ni Keos.
"I understand, Sir." sabi ni Yonah.
Natapos ang meeting nila with Keos. Naging busy ang buong araw nila kaya masayang-masaya sila nang sumapit ang oras ng uwian nila.
"Sir, we are about to leave." paalam ni Myra.
"Ok. Good day." matipid na sagot ni Keos.
Nagpaiwan pa ang binata sa opisina pagkaalis nina Myra, Drian, at Yonah. Nasa sasakyan pa sina Yonah nang mag-ring ang cp nya.
...I looked at her and have to smile as we go driving for a while...
"Aba! Ganda ng ringtone natin ah bagong-bago." nang-aasar na sabi ni Drian.
